FREE MagnaFlow Exhaust - Local SSR needed for fitment and photography

MagnaFlow needs an SSR for fitment and catalog photography. If a local owner is interested and has a stock or near stock exhaust on his SSR, MagnaFlow is offering a complete exhaust system in exchange for use (MSRP valued at over $1000.00.) The fitment and photo session should take no longer than 3-4 days in which case a rental vehicle will be provided at no cost.

You could grab a cot and sleep next to it for a couple days for your own peace of mind.

Some issues are urgent and need to be addressed as so. We are a pretty large corporation and I submitted a request for the update to our webadmin but she's working in Italy at the moment so I expected a delay ... should be there tomorrow unless we already have a candidate selected by then.

Art, he is out of the area until Monday. Interesting concept and the need to get totally certified for 2009-2010 emission effort. ARB needs documentation and configuration for approval. Couldn't believe that so many 2003 and 2004 need to have catalytic converters replaced to pass emissions. Tooo much fun with our rides and extra fun stuff added to our lovable SSR's. Bottom line added horse power and rich mixtures have deteriorated catalytic converters. Need to use premium fuel and good quality fuel. Do not know condition of 2005 as of yet not going through smog testing yet. Need to have the 2005 and 2006 documentation in by October of 2009. ARB Air Resource Board is having a fun time with catalytic converter not being approved for EPA California installed or sold over the counter to the motoring public. Will be interesting to see what happens with modified vehicle and Motor homes. Plus can't wait to see the Diesel modifiers get failures in starting January 2010.
Wish I had invested in all the take off emission parts and could resell to the modifiers. I could purchase more SSR's than Doug and have some change left over.

Also have heard that GMC isn't supplying catalytic converters for several models including SSR Never fails when the Government get involved with making vehicles. They require something but are unable to supply the product that is required.
That statement should get the heart going on some people.

Robert

I'd like to throw my hat into the ring for your consideration.

My '06 automatic Redline Rocket is a daily driver, has only a Magnaflow exhaust and Joe 6-speed's chip added to the system.

My truck is fast and dependable. I'm a "careful" driver , keep exhaustive records when I run in caravans to events, and doggone it people just like me.

Boy, you sound like the ideal candidate. "Exhaustive records"! Painted SSR. Not everyone keeps records of their emissions (although some guys seem to enjoy to bragging about them). What more could they want?

Hot Mod Starting Today with Certification

I just returned from leaving my SSR for the next 3-5 days at
Magnaflow Exhaust systems. They wanted me to have a Yugo
hot rod to drive but I turned them down. Tooo much power for a roller skate. Have a fancy KIA with A/C for this tropical paradise we live in.

Smoke is killing our breathing at the shop. I think Bubear has big fan turned on toward Redlands. My one employee has moved his household items to our shop from bear-paw. He had made a comment about two weeks ago. The brush in his area hasn't burned in almost 100 years and felt they would
have items of concern stored for quick recovery if needed. Well it has moved to Redlands.

So Robert, how did it go? Feedback please because I'm wondering if I should let them have my '09 Dodge Ram for the same treatment.

Will try it out maybe this weekend if I can Godmama will have to just and I will enjoy the new sounds. Not too loud like the flowmaster 50 an 40 series. It is a nice installation kit and looks like it will be a good asset to the vehicle. They wouldn't tell me about the difference in emissions or HP. I haven't put the SSR on my emission tester yet. Been upset with HP printers and Vista and
new printers that will not work. Getting good at putting parts in boxes and returning printers very fast. Had vehicle for 5 days and had to re-due some modification to the 06 verses the 03-04-early 05. Told them that it was lowered about an 1" front and 1 1/2" rear. I also mentioned most of us SSR
Fanatic have lowered rides

If you are serious about exhaust modification call Rich he is the man more in tune with emissions. Gabe is knowledgeable but more of a very nice P.R. person. I was talking to Magnaflow representative about a problem with a Ford Mustang that we had installed a muffler in his vehicle. One thing lead to another. I emailed Gabe and Rich about using my SSR for a test vehicle.
Then I read the post on SSR Fanatics and call and left messages on phone. I was asked to bring the SSR down for inspection and modification of exhaust.

I didn't think that I would be chosen it was a surprise phone call from Rich.

Have an enjoyable weekend with Wayne.

See Ya Robert

great to hear from you Robert. I have emailed Rich but have not heard back from him this week yet. Our thoughts were to drive the new Dodge Ram down to SoCal for the Disney/Xmas meet rather than fly down. If they will do the truck that would be our plan for sure. Fingers crossed Perhaps Rich is too busy or out of town this week. If your talking to him, light a fire under his ass for me would you? I need to know soon because if we're going to fly I will need to book soon.
Thanks for the feedback. Take care blue man

I have the Magnaflow too and love it, my brother got his used from craigslist but I wanted a valid warranty so I got it here. [Edit out Advertisement Link] you can try one of the sponsors here on the forum, they are allways having sales/specials. Either way its a great exhaust system, sounds great, and very easy to install.
