Question Hotel in Calabases area?

My daughter will be travelling/working in Calabases on a weekly basis. Is anyone familiar with any SAFE, clean hotels in the area?

For a hotel, I would look a bit away from Calabasas if she is going to have a car.

Airtel Plaza Hotel and Conference CenterEdit
7277 Valjean Ave
Van Nuys, CA 91406

is just to the East of the Van Nuys Airport which serves corporate Jets. It is an are I used to go to for model trains and felt it was a safe area for my wife to go to alone. It is 9.1 mile from MapQuest's center of Calabasas and they extimate 15 minutes travel. Just one idea. I have no personalknowledge of this hotel. There is another on the south east side of the Sepuveda Pass near the Getty Museum but I can not remember the name. It is round, like the Capitol Records Building and would not be too far since it would be against traffic.

Also found this:

Hilton Garden Inn Calabasas 24150 Park Sorrento
Calabasas, CA 91302
Website | (818) 591-2300

(0.82 miles away)

Thanks! I tried the the AAA and TripAdvisor. That's how we got the Good Nite Inn. Unfortunately, it was more like the old motels - you park outside your door, everyone looks in the window when they walk by - not where you want your daughter to be when she is travelling all alone. We're going to do the Hilton or Marriott this week. I've always had good luck with them.

Janet, If you do a google search and type in Calabasas Hotels CA you will get a pretty good listing. The Hilton Garden Inn and the Country Inn Suites are both listed and would be good. I would not recommend Van Nuys or anywhere by the Getty. The traffic would be bad. Stick with hotels close to Calabasas area. I am not sure what her budget will be but as I mentioned if you do the google search, you can then call the hotels and ask for the "best" rate since she will be returning often and they like that kind of customer. I'll think on this more and see ya on Saturday.

Calabasas is a very safe area and the hotels you mention are very good.

Hi Janet!
Check out Residence Inn in Los Angeles Westlake Village > It is a Marriott brand and
includes a free breakfast. Is she a government employee? If so there is a special discount. Also if she gets a Marriott Rewards card, she can get free stays.
Happy hunting, Millie Lin

Thanks to everyone! Hilton Garden Inn has been her home for a few days each week for a couple of months. However, she doesn't have to commute to corporate headquarters any more!!! Even though she is a married adult now....she is still my baby & I never stop worrying about her. So glad this gig is over.
