Don, you are a real hoot. The closest I think we will get to Lancaster is Tehachapi (sp?). You know that you are a true desert rat when you miss the Mojave Desert. Mike and Betty, Mary's brother, lives in Palmdale near the hills coming into the valley.

Showed the house to a City of Conroe building inspector. Scared me to death. Could not figure out what he was looking for. Turns out he loves the house but needs to sell his. Sheeesh. Story of my life. He has a sad story. Has a 84 year old mother-in-law that tries to put shirts in the refrigerator. His wife is suffering from cancer and he works two jobs to pay for her treatments. She can't watch her mother as is needed and he wants to move them closer to his job so he can check in on them.

My Mom would just zone out for hours at a time. But when she regained her thoughts; my Heart was over joyed. I would speed talk to her after she woke up. I never knew when she would zone out again.

Yea it hurt me to see my mom going down hill. It got to were she didnt even know me any more. That was hard.

My Mom's birthday today. Methinks she is 88. I'll call her and ask.

So we called a Lake Arrowhead hotel for an extended stay rate. Not going to happen. We may rent a home in Redlands and drive up to the lake every day to get the job done.
