Moving to LA! Finally
I felt bad I was depriving my truck of the beautiful constant top down weather it deserves, So I made the decision to throw the necessities in a U-haul and head west.
My company sent me out there two years ago for safety training and I fell in love with the place. I had never seen California before and it only made me realize how bad Houston sucked in comparison. I was literally in tears flying home on the plane, especially since it was January, and I HATE cold weather. So ever since ive been saving up, and can afford to move out and take a few months if needed to find a new job. I should be arriving around April 25th so if any of you see a with TX plates on it, its probably me
My buddy that lives out in Rancho Cucamonga tells me he sees tons of SSR's out there, which they are pretty rare in Houston
Anyhow, I definately want to participate in some group activities when I get there.
I have spent the last six years as the Fleet Manager for the University of Houston, and love working with cars. So hopefully I can find something similar to do once I get there. If anyone knows of anything.....
Wish me luck on the Job search, or else I will be curling up in the back of my SSR under a bridge somewhere
Tyler

Yeah, what they said, . . . So Cal is ready made for SSRs . . . we have a lot of local get-togethers frequently on a couple days notice. All local runs usually within an hour of one another, so with the heavy concentration of Rs here, plenty of friends to make.
My SSR: Ultra Violet 2004,Vin# 03550 slight modifications to the exhaust, detailed and painted engine cover

Hi Tyler , we live in the high desert, just up the hill from Rancho Cucmonga off the I-15. What kind of job are you looking for? The fanatics group out here have a lot of diversity, and might be able to help out in the search.
Just a thought! Hope to see you on some of our runs and events.

I got into Vehicle Fleet management here almost six years ago at the University of Houston and i rather enjoy it. I have an immense love for vehicles and shopping for new ones Im not a big fan of sales type positions but I have always thought becoming a Service Advisor at a dealership might be a good direction. I have been working on my own vehicles since before I had a license, and have a sixth sense about detecting when something isnt right with a vehicle. I can usually diagnose a problem with a car based on what you tell me, or by driving it myself. I feel this would be helpful at a dealership, to make sure the technician is on the right path to addressing the customers complaint. I have also had training as a vehicle damage appraiser many years ago, and did very well at guesstimating how much a repair is going to cost. In adition to all that I have great personal skills, lots of experience with all the major software suites, and Im about the most loyal, responsible and trustworthy person you could ever meet. Not to mention easy on the eyes
Welcome to the WEST. I know that you will love it here. I am sure you will find you way over to Las Vegas. Everyone else does! If you come over look up the VEGAS MOB. We are always looking for a reason to party. It does not have to be a good reason, just a reason.:yellow
