Needed a R fix
I don't know how you folks do it... storing your SSRs for the winter or just using it once in a while.... I am house sitting for my parents... & there is no logical place to park the R overnight... no available garage… plus I am juggling both of their vehicles on a street that doesn't have much parking. SO, since last Monday, my R has been tucked away. I had been jonesing for a drive & just couldn't handle it anymore... so I took my FAVORITE drive (you Christmas party folks know it)... First got breakfast at the restaurant at the marina, then took off N on the 405 to the 101 to Topanga Canyon...It was a perfect top down drive...hit PCH... up to Malibu & then back to Santa Monica. After driving an ordinary blah Jeep all week.. the R was absolutely perfect in every way; power, sound and performance. Geesh I love this truck!
Still can't believe I got this one... heard a helicopter & just blindly pointed the camera up...

Stop off and visit my daughter in Bell Canyon. Show her what my new ride looks like.

Came in 2nd on a critical bid yesterday . . . bummed . . . miffed . . . decided to take the long way home (take time to smell the flowers) . . . through Vasquez Canyon, while stopping at Vasquez Canyon County Park.
This park is so-named because of an infamous Mexican bandito, Vasquez, that "holed-up" here between stagecoach robberies in the 1800's. These rock formations created by the uplifting that occurs when the Pacific plate meets the North American plate along the San Andreas Fault.
A popular movie-making site as seen on their "brag" marquee. Planet of the Apes, 24, Flintstones, Blazing Saddles, Wild Wild West and hundreds of black and white Westerns.
