Current reports have it raining Saturday night and into most of Sunday. I love the rain and don't mind driving in it, but most So Cal drivers are terrible at it. Avoiding them is always an interesting exercise. With 290 miles R/T and a missing fender inner liner, I'm not likely to make this event. I was looking forward to that blast down the coast to Encinitas, too.
Hard to take sides on this one . . . we so, desperately, need the rain and snowpack in the mountains.
Well, I showed up, nobody there, lots of sun, no rain, dry roads, what happened?
I tell you, you Californians!
They have a name for people like you......WIMPS!!
I ended up eating there anyway, since I drove all the way there and parked in Coco's restaurant. The manager there wouldn't even give me the "discount" advertised on this thread. Said the meet was canceled. I guess I wasn't in on the deal.
Lame, I tell ya....
Well, I had some spare parts to give away, too, ended up dumping them in the trash. Didn't feel like hauling them around again for nothing.
When you all start showing up again, let me know, maybe I'll check you all out sometime.
At least I got a nice excuse to drive my freshly washed SSR out again.

Sorry
Sorry akwares that you were left alone. Even though it was sunny when you got there, at the time we needed to set-up (parking, music, etc.), it was still wet and raining. I tried to inform everybody in time.
Tell you what...if you come next time (third Saturday of each month), remind me and I will have a little something for you that you will like. Or it you are ever up this way at another time, give me a call. We will make it up to you.
i understand about setup and stuff, it's always difficult if you're trying to set up for an outdoor event and don't have a plan b for weather. no worries, I enjoyed driving my truck around all weekend anyway, plus now I know exactly where the meet point is.
with any luck, i can make it up to the next meet.....

Thanks for a great attitude. Looking forward to hanging with you next month. Wouldn't it be cool to have an entire line of SSR's at the Cruise?

Is the SSR meet on the third SAt or Sun?
How many SSR's in San Diego are in the Fanatic?
my Wife and I are new to the SSR world. Now we have one and like going on date with it. Only two seats kids have to stay home .

Sorry for the error
Sorry guys. Thanks Vix for catching my mistake.
Here's the deal. I oversee a monthly Hot Rod & Car Cruise for the local Coco's in Rncho Bernardo. It meets on the third SUNDAY of every month. While it is open to all vehicles and years, I would love on occasion to have a line of SSR's in the show (mine gets lonely). I know I can't expect the Fanatics all the time, but it would be fun to focus on this event once in a while. Good fellowship, nice cars and discounted food (20% at Coco's).
Mark those SSR calendars...
- January 21
- February 18
- March 18
