Nor-Cal Meeting

The Nor-Cal bunch met at Wimpy's Marina and Restaurant out in the Delta in Walnut Grove, CA to plan 2011 activities.

Some of us actually drive our SSR's in the winter.

JimBob

(I didn't, shame on me)

NO WAY!!!

There is some NORCAL SSR activity after all very cool Heck .... For a while there I thought I was the only one up in these parts that owned one! So when's the next meeting? If it's going to be another "TOP SECRET" like the one you guys just had..... Just send some smoke signals and I'll be there at Wimpy's in about 15 minutes. If you choose not to send me any smoke signals..... Please send me a P/M telling me so..... So I do not waste my time looking for them

Nope, they're not top secret. They're posted on the facebook page like we discussed back a few months ago when we last spoke on the phone. They usually occur on the last Saturday of the month (weather permitting).

For those of us that do not belong to Facebook and do not want to join it, is there any other way to contact the club. I have sent PM's to several people who claim to be members with no response to date.

Hey Robert ....

Thanks for the reply and a Merry Christmas to you and your family! Robert for some reason I missed placed your phone number in my computer Like "JOHN317" I'm not a member of FACEBOOK and I care not to join it either. How about a simple post here in "PACIFIC" when a gathering/meeting is going to take place? Seeing's how there are SSR owners from NORCAL that hang out here on this forum. Thanks!

I'll try to post in the Pacific forum threads with info for the NorCal gatherings.

I can understand your position on Facebook, but I'm not the person putting the work into keeping that up to date for this group and they prefer Facebook.

I run the website for our NorCal Retrobirds (2002 to 2005 Thunderbirds) but we have not gone to level with the NorCal SSR group.

If you use the NorCal SSR link, you can at least see the info about the group without logging into facebook.

What ever happened to the mailing list? I used to get emails regarding events.

That may have been something that Steve Hull was doing to let people know about events. Since Steve Hull has passed away (miss you a lot Steve!), others in the group are trying to fill in and coordinate events.

I think you are right, the emails were coming from Steve as I recall. I miss him also. RIP Thou good man.
