Here's the SEMA information.........

If Peter and Cindy enter the show with the DRAGON, I might just have to use my airline miles on myself!!!

SEMA (Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association) is not a "car show" as such. The vehicles on display are there to showcase someone's product. In Peter's case, the manufacturers supplying wheels, air ride system, hydraulics, even the supercharger and paint would probably want to display the Dragon.

SEMA is huge - if you plan on seeing all the displays, you would need all four days, walking pretty much constantly, stopping for photos and the odd bite to eat. Walking the complete show is about 35 miles of aisles.

It is not open to the public. Best way to get in is to be creative with your credentials and pre-register. If you are pre-registered, they will probably only ask for ID to match the credentials you are picking up.

As car shows go - a lot of the cars and trucks on display are spectacular. Others are pretty standard fare, showing running boards, toppers, etc.

Bring good shoes!!!!!
I thought I had, and by the middle of the second day had pretty bad blisters. Iris, being very sympathetic, helped out by wanting to walk between casinos, restaurants and shows every night. Damn - those buildings are big, and a long ways apart.

Unveiling of the DRAGON - NOT to be missed if possible!

Cindy and I would like to ask you to respond back to me ASAP with a yeah or nay that you are able or unable to attend the Unveiling event on Sept. 1, 2007. She has booked 30 rooms at the Motel 8 in Langley. I know most of you in BC live fairly close and can easily come for Saturday with the option to stay over for Sunday's activities. We are all busy going in many different directions, so please do let me know as soon as you can !!

For those of you who can arrive for Saturday's "guided caravan" I will send you the time of departure at a later date - probably about 1 pm would be my guess right now.......... or maybe we have a wee bit of a cruise first and meet earlier - I will let you know! !!

PM Sue or better yet, make your reply on this thread and keep our information alive !
I will then send you the address of where to send your check and the specifics of the adventure we have planned for you all !

Sue

PS: Count your Pacific Northwest blessings - it is 115 at Paul and Doris's home in Arizona!

Peter - sorry I can't make the private showing in Bellevue of the Dragon. I can't wait to see the Lambo Doors, Zane Coombs of AZ e-mailed me pictures of the Dragon - it is beautiful - can't wait to see it.
If you set up at the Sema Show in Vegas I will be there - keep me up to date.

Catered Party for the Unveiling of the "Dragon" requires PrePaid Reservation...

But we still have room for those of you who haven't made your solid plans for the US three-day Labor-Day weekend..........

What could be more fun than to celebrate being alive and driving an SSR than to cancel ALL your other plans and head to Peter & Cindy's Grand Unveiling Party, Saturday, September 1, in British Columbia!!

It's easy to cross the border at Lynden, straight drive up I-5 from anywhere in Washington; easy Freeway drive from anywhere in BC ---- My Gosh, Ole Yeller and his bride are coming all the way from Moses Lake to be with our new SSR family. There is a lot of respect, admiration and love to go around................ fantastic group of SSR owners......

You do need to prepay for the catered dinner ($30.00 per person) and join the festivities. Please contact tickledpink (volunteer secretary ) for information. Caravan to our first Grand Stop at Jim & Pam's for Wine & Hors d'oeuvres starts at the Super 8 Motel in Langley at 11:00 AM SHARP on Saturday, September 1.

Hope to see you soon!!

Big Event.........

There are 15 NW SSRs coming to the Unveiling Party for the Dragon on Sept. 1st. Good Job for all of you who are coming, our regrets to those of you who cannot.

Eighty people will be in attendance for the festivities, including Peter & Cindy's Vintage Car Club as well! We begin by having a "guided caravan" at 11 am on Sept. 1st from the Super 8 Motel in Langley to Jim & Pam's for Wine and "Appys", then on to the Secret Garden at the Dragon's home for our catered FEAST in the magnificent courtyard !
