Great Event, good food, good tech, good friends. Thanks go to Robert and Elaine for hosting our get together.
Our truck, Ruby, got both the skid/stiffner plate and the Left Coast front end crossmember and it sure tracks a lot better and takes the roadway irregularities with much more stability.
When we got it up on the hoist we found out that the left front tire had worn through to the cords on the unseen inside edge; everyone was concerned that it could have blown out at any time. In an amazing coincidence crazyrtr53 (Tony Rossi) just happened to have a 19" spare in his truck which he kindly lent to us so we could drive 110 miles back home without a blowout. Thanks Tony!!!!
The "SSR Gals" also had fun getting their nails done again this year by Wendy, telling funny jokes and things only the "SSR Gals" know and will not tell........
Mike Moro needed a face shield so he could grind a bracket to size without damaging his face; no face shield, no problem, just use the cover of a cookie box and some masking tape, all it takes is a little ingenuity.

I think Mike has a little too much fun at our tech sessions
Looks like fun was had by all...thanks for sharing the pics.
I am a little concerned about the hammer use for the install of the stabilizer kit...I just received mine and apparently need to buy a bigger hammer.
No worries about the hammer need...... We were installing a stiffener plate on LT's truck without Joe's crossmember. In order to do that, I had to push the rear edge of the factory crossmember back a little. It's because the plate has about 0.075" interverence fit to the strock crossmember at the back edge. The hammer was more for effect (on LT) than the actual need...... It was fun.

Thanks Robert & Elaine for another Fantastic Fanatic Tech Session. To everyone who brought pot luck, my palate will never be the same. To echo Mrs Hatterhead... Recipes !!! The food was incredible.
we arrived a Lot later than usual only to find this scarey sight!
Not really...
This is what we really saw....

No matter how much you push the envelope, it'll still be stationery.

This doesn’t make sense … or I maybe I miss read something but I’d thought your stiffener plate would only work in conjunction with Joe’s crossmember.
