pictures of our west coast vacation, August '09
Well, Wayne and I finally got caught up with work (13 hour shifts will do that ) and I can sit down and share some photo's from last weekend and this weeks road trip. After 7 days and 4,716 kms of almost trouble free cruising we made it home safe and sound on thursday night. What a great way to spend a week!!!
And last Saturday turned out fabulous. With fanatics getting out of bed at 4:30 a.m. for a donut and then pranking Art followed by the best ever afternoon at Lloyd and Gerry's. That lunch was a fantastic time for visiting everyone, no rush to jump in our trucks for a cruise, just sitting around their patio and chatting with old and new mates. The non-cruise wasn't for lack of trying though, thanks anyway Linda
And the wonderful weather held out for our Sunday jaunt to San Diego and a visit to Coco's show and shine. Again we dinned on birthday cupcakes and were pleasantly surprised to see Art and Lucky roll in. Then we hit the road for the seashore. Oh the busy seashore a popular place.
Our trip continued north, on Monday we headed to the Oregon coast for a few days and ended up meeting a , they are now our newest members!!! The pictures we got there are awesome, Mother Nature is pretty cool at creating things.
Anyway, here's some pic's
1) Betty and Wayne at DD's
2) the gang at DD's
3) tech session at Art's , Wayne eating more donuts and Al waiting for the rest to park

we thought that we would be swimming but the wind made it too cool. Beach combing, we found that the wet sand held but the dry drifted away with the wind. The shapes remaining were outstanding. They look like seashells!!! And I found a surfboard Our Best Western Inn was right on the beach

we found a new fanatic, followed him home Michael, chatted with him for about an hour. Then went down to the store his wife, Linda, was at and met her. You feel as though you've known them for years, easy to talk to, funny, just plain great.
Toured Newport, no shortage of lighthouses

shrimp shells getting loaded, perhaps they make fertilizer?
Thanks to all that we got to see and visit with on our trip, it was truelly wonderful because of all of you. For those that couldn't make it, we thought of you and we'll see you in December I hope.
