Noticed my speedometer was reading 35mph but going like hell down the freeway today. On the way back from the VA going with the freeway flow it read 92mph. Either I was running a temperature or the odometer was wrong. I stopped at the dealership to talk to the service writer and my odometer was reading 18mph. so left it there to fix that, replace the second driveshaft (tink, clunk) and see why the auto shift into second gear was so slow. bad things come in threes? My 2003 warrenty is still good til 2009, no deductable!

Happened to me

My speedo went faster and faster until it passed the 160 mark. When I got home I started the CQQL SSR four or five times and it corrected and has not happened again since. Beats me, but I will bet some fouum fanatic knows what caused it...

Don't think anyone knows what causes it, but many were able to resolve the same way you did...

To late, dealership already trashed things behind the dash. EVERYTIME they get in there it takes me ten return trips to get things workng and hooked back up again.

Bought my 1965 GTO about 15yrs ago. Still runs good and my son has it covered in his back yard and drives it to carshows.

Just now got the "R" home and am I impressed. The dealership did it right the first time! Cost to me?........ Nothing!

I usually takes me SEVERAL return trips to get all of the behind the dash parts back to working right....... Vents, A/C, Lights..................

Yes, thats my beautiful 2.75yr.old Grandaughter Madeline.

I think they're just starting to get better at customer service. Great people but............................ it's not about friendship but workmanship!

I had the same thing happen to me. Once I got my SSR home, I said "You either get you S__t straight, or I will trade you for a FORD". Never had that problem again. The dealer indicated that the return motor in the instrument panel was not working as it should. He wanted to replace the instrument panel. So it has not happened again, so far, so good.
