The Retiree Lunch Circuit at Paula's Pancake House in Solvang, Thursday, 9-16-10.

Summer is over, kids are back in school and the retiree are ready for a road trip north to Solvang via San Marcos Pass (154). We’ll be having lunch at Paula's Pancake House. After lunch, we’ll take a short walk to burn off those calories for ice cream one of the nearby sweets and treats shops.
Anybody is welcome to join us. We’ll be hitting the road at 10 AM and will meet behind Toy R Us right at the Johnson Dr Exit in Ventura. (See attach map)

I need to read more carefully. I skipped over the date and ran out of the house this morning, risking Performance Awards to make it to the Toys R Us site before they hit the road from there (in vain, 10:20 and no one there) and continued to attempt to catch up. When I got to Paula's at 11:30, having not caught them, they were not there so I started looking for phone numbers. Called LTsSSR and I C Blue (thanks for understanding) and finally reached PVPDriver who straightened me out on the date.
Unfortunately, I have a previous commitment next week and will be unable to attend.

I did not try the food. The place filled up while I was looking for my Lunch partners. Just headed back out on the road, the opposite direction,same road. Had a good time, but the cops watch that road. I saw 3 CHP on the way across 154 and a County Sherrif on 246 in bound & 2 CHP and one County Sheriff on the way back, all on 154. None of them were together.

The drive up was so so as it was cool and real foggy along the coast. Once we started going up on the San Marcos Pass, it cleared up and was nice and warm. Like always, food was good. I ate too much & ended up with a heart burn so I skip out on the ice cream treat while the other enjoyed a wide verity of flavors .
Coming home, we headed to Buellton & took 101 south and again, it was too cool & foggy for any top down driving.
