My SSR: 05 Slingshot Auto # 20087 Brickyard Track Vehicle
Right Hand Conversion
Hi guys,
Finally got around to posting some pictures of my SSR with the steering wheel on the right hand side as some of you wished to see what it looked like. Yes, it does feel strange after 2 weeks driving in the USA!!!

Very pictures, Vavoom?
Was all that conversion stuff required? Although it's been a few years now, I kinda remember seeing left-hand drive vehicles in both Sydney and Perth.

By law you must convert to right hand drive unless the vehicle is 15 years or older or you can get a club pemit which allows the vehicle to be driven for car shows or club events.
The dash is done by computer program which mirror images for the exact fit, They are made of fibreglass and just look like the factory ones. The whole conversion is very labour intensive to comply with australian standards and once the work is done the car is inspected and given it's compliance label.
SSR has some 380 hours work at a cost today of Aust $50,000.00 so depending on what you could pay for a car with the exchange rate it would still cost around Aust $100,000 on the road.
We have paid far more than that with all the problems we have had, plus all the extra's we have added.
Thanks for the great comments, we still love it. vavoom
Vavoom, thanks for posting the pictures. INTERESTING! Do you have any pictures of the reflectors that they installed on the front and rear? The dash really looks good, how did they do that????? I maybe want to do that to mine so Susan will stop asking HOW FAST ARE GOING???????
My SSR: "Kate" a Haughty Redhead, '06 Redline FPR 6 spd. #23333 Build Date 2/16/06
It's one thing to pull a shifter into "D" left handed but I imagine it is a bit of an art to keep from crunching a 6sp.
Here are a couple rear reflector pictures of Vavooms I saved.
