Day two and all's well. Left late yesterday so stopped in Eugene, OR (very chilly and slippery this morning). Today was a great sunny drive down the Pacific coast!!! Love those waves No SSR's in sight though. We drove as far as Crescent City, CA. As we were driving thru the town we spotted a hose at the Best Western Inn. They said YES we can use the hose to wash off the truck, and I said O.K. we'll stay the night here
We bought some Celebration Ale to toast the New Years with. Don't know how far we'll make it tomorrow.
Happy New Year everyone

Another sunny day driving top-up we did see some vert's with the top down, but I bet they were only out for a New Years day cruise.
We spotted our first SSR (redline) heading north on the 101 between Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz. Wow, was the Golden Gate Bridge every busy
Looks like we'll be in Solvang tomorrow night. Anybody else interested??? RRR??? A top-down day for sure
I'd post some pic's but I forgot my cord

Sorry I can't join you in Solvang as I'm back to work today after being off for all of last week.
Are you staying at the WorldMark Resort in Solvang? It really nice.
Have a fun and safe trip.

Well, we made it into Indio. Finally we can unpack for a few nights. We will hit the outlet mall just west of here that's for sure. And maybe trek around the desert a bit! Anybody gonna drop by here, The Worldmark, for a visit?
Bye for now, looking forward to seeing all

Which way did you go? You could have come right by us and I didn't even know it. Plus, you passed right by Lloyd and Gerry in Palm Desert

For sure, Linda. They are predicting 4 times more rain (10") in the next 5 days than we got ALL LAST YEAR (2 1/2). And 10' of snow in the Sierras (we can drink water again ) with winds approaching 200 mph ! ! Makes you want to send Al Gore a check !
I think you right about the winds speed as I notices during lunch that most of the larger aircrafts have been triple tie down. Much more then I've ever seen before.

That wind prediction was for the High Sierras, Jeff . . . 200 mph winds in the basin would make me a very rich man ! !
