San Diego Coco's Cruise 2013

Had a great day. Wonderful sun! Had 6 or 7 SSRs together with some new faces and several other interesting street rods including a "A" roadster pickup with a blower that looked like a handful to drive.

Anybody interested in a change of venue for next month to Carlsbad next to TGIFridays at Palomar Airport Road. I think I can get a deal from the manager if we have a few SSRs for his parking lot.

Coco's is a get together with attendees from several groups and is expected to be there on the 3rd Sunday each month. I would think if you want to try something new with just SSRs it would be better to pick a different weekend and see what happens. Then if you wnat to expand to the Car Culture in general there will be no conflict. The way you have suggested might sound like you are tryiung to step on someone elses toes though I know that is not your intention.

There is an exisitng gathering across the freeway at the outlet mall on at least one Sat. morning per month. The date of the particular Sat. escapes me at the moment. It's done early because the parking there is limited during the store hours (most open at 10am). As Dwight says, the one at Coco's is not so much of a show as a gathering of car folks with all sorts of interesting cars from all eras. It's also a bit more centrally located for some who live in the downtown or east county.

As I said, there were 6 or 7 SSR's at Coco's last Sunday.....plus a few older street rods and some more contemporary ones like a couple of ZO-6's.

I wasn't trying to step on toes, just thought a change once in a while might be good. Any cars would be welcome not just SSRs.
