we are planning another private tour of the shelby museum in las vegas again,the exact date has not been set as of yet. once we know more info we will pass it along. this is the e-mail I recieved...Hello Everyone Calico Corvettes,SSR Club,Ferrari Club,Lotus Club,

Its time once again for our Shelby Motorsports tour 2011. Last year we had a great turn out with about 5 clubs joining us so we are doing it again.
I am setting the time for the Month of May the exact date will be announced as we get closer to May. I am starting a head count so I can get an idea of how many will be attending this one. Please drop me a line if you are thinking of going. Gary has once again offered to spend some time with us giving us another tour.

Bummer. Wish I lived closer to there. Just filled out my paperwork for the Shelby Registry last night. My certificate should be here in a couple of weeks!!

Dean maybe we can get a few more MOB members to attend this time. You can count Basement Rat, BumbleB and myself end. Maybe I will even take the SSR this time. I am sure with a little more planning we can get more Members to go. Thanks for posting this so early.

not to worry we take a lot of videos,except the build room. we got to see what they were building but couldn't video(top secret).
last time the guy giving the tour took one of the mustangs out of the museum and took us for a run down the freeway,WAY FUN!

Oh I know. They only thing that's more fun than driving the R is beating on the Shelby. 550hp at the crank and that's without me playing with it. I just need to drive it more so I can unlock Ford's breakin tune. Than I can really see how it runs with the improvements I did.

I wanted to stop there when I was leaving from SEMA, but I wanted to get home and it was 2 1/2 day trip. Wish I didn't leave so early on Saturday.

The date has been changed due to a schedule problem with the person giving the tour.
notice the date is on a Sunday,the Shelby plant is not open on Sunday,this is a private tour so we must go when Gary can spend some of his free time to give us the tour.
it will be worth the wait I promise.
The time as it stands for now will be 10am,I will keep you posted as changes or updates are forwarded to me.

I am still going for those who still want to go out today. Unfortanately I will not be able to go this Sunday. I am working all weekend long.

Hope to see a few members there today. If not at least I got the SSR out of storage....

J C the date was for the month of may,now in june. you are still welcome to join us then too. last year we got to go in the build area which is not part of the normal tour.Gary took one of the cars out of the museum for a run with us.

I did go that day with a friend. Enjoyed the tour and also picked up a photo tin. I sent it to Shelby and had it signed. I will be hanging it in my garage today.
