Silver Wolf no more
This afternoon while driving the SSR I had an accident. The whole driver side is dented in and the front tire was underneath the SSR. All tires were blown. The accident happened when I was changing lanes and I hit a wet spot on the road and lost the rear end traction. Myself and My Friend are all right. I'll be collecting all my specialty items that I have and will be selling them that were not damaged in the accident.

Bib Ole Bummer, Silver Wolf . . . but Great News you guys are OK.
Now that the dust has settled a little, any ideas as to the cause of the accident? Possibly a blowout or defective tires or was the "wet spot" something other than water?

Any information on the future of your SSR?
Wet spot was the cause. It had enough oil and water to let the rear end slide sideways and when I mean side ways I was looking at the side of the road through my front windsheild. I did not take any pictures, my sister did and she has not sent any to me yet. I'll post them when I get them.

Too bad! #84/238 I assume this will become an insurance write off.
If you have access:
I was able to advise one Fanatic to remove things - i.e. engine cover insert, cockpit windbreak, cargo net package, hitch and at the time I didn't even think about it but running boards could easily come off also.
He had access to the vehicle but I guess that isn't always the case. If you don't, possibly if you indicate some of these items were added you might be allowed to remove them.
I see some going through CoPart with windbreaks, hitches etc. None of that affects the beat down value at an insurance auction, whereas you can add to the next one or sell the items off.

Here are the photos. Still waiting to see if they can fix it.
Those pictures are painful to view, Silver Wolf.
As for the OEM Tires . . . if you have a chance it would be interesting to know the exact build date of those tires. The OEM's on The Doophus were about a year and a half older than the vehicle.
What a wild ride that must have been. Glad you two came out okay. The pictures show that the car when through allot. You were lucky. SomeONe was watching.
