Smokin' Asphalt on OAHU
Corner of Ala Moana Blvd and Coral St at about 2:15 this afternoon. Did not have a chance to chase this one down since I was not driving. Went into building with a sign in the window that said "Rental Car Specialist" Is someone renting SSRs on the island or was this someone here?

I corrected the intersection in Post #1. It was really Ala Moana Blvd and Coral St. it is an Enterprise Rent a car Office but they are closed today. Lots of other things in the building as well and the was turning into the building parking lot entrance. I rode the bus out there today to check it out.

Called that Enterprise Office today and they said it is not their's. They had nothing else to say abouot it. Still looking for the owner. Found a spot with a Prowler and he said he knew of no SSRs for rent on the island.

I was out inbetween Diamond Head and Koko Head this morning and saw a going the other way. I made a U t the next light and gave chase. Took a mile or two but I caught up with him and asked if he had time to chat. He was headed for a meeting so I gave him my card and asked him to check the site. The light turned green and we went our seperate ways. He did ask how many we had in Hawaii. I said I thought three or four on this island so he may come looking. I did not explain that I was from CA but if he gets up here he will figure it out.

There's a guy in my condo complex with a black SSR with some blue pinstriping but I can't remember his name, don't see him much. There is another black one around that has blacked out taillights and has custom exhaust, but I've never been able to track that one down.

Subtle pinstripping I would have missed but there was nothing fancy. The tailights could have been blacked out but the brakeights were what I was following while in the chase. The exhaust was sounding pretty throatty while I was close and chasing. That is all I can tell you. The pattern he drove from the time I first saw him until I caught up to him would indicate to me thathe came from hte Makai side of the highway in the Hawaii Kai area. He had to make a U on Kalanianiloe Hwy to head back to Waikiki and parts Ewa.
I had a good time but wish some of you guys had been around.

Yep, got home yesterday. Laundry today and on the road to Roseville (Sacramento area) tomorrow. Not sure if I will take the or the Envoy. Depends on the weather since my sister wants me to bring her Kayak with me. If the weather is nice I can pt it in the back and leave the tailgate down but if it is raining it goes on top of the Envoy.

My son just called and now I am off to an open house at his school. (He is the Dean of Students this year.) Just a slight change on the old Parents Night thing.
