So Calif to Flagstaff

I know this is kinda early but just asking....

So whats your plans? Are you going straight to Flagstaff or are you going to divided it into a two day road trip?

I'm thinking maybe I'll stop in Laughlin Sunday night. Next day take 93 to Kingman then to Flagstaff.

As for the return trip, I'll do it in one day.

Our plans are to leave Sunday and spend the night in Prescott after making stops in Needles to see family. Will mosey on into Flagstaff on Monday to see even more family and be there in time for the parking lot meet & greet.

Yeah kinda early but....
Sunday in Phoenix to visit relatives and look up an old racing buddy!
Monday we've picked out a scenic route up thru Payson and Strawberry. Then on thru some place called Happy Jack! Any place with a name like that, oh we gotta go there
On north past Morman Lake and Lake Mary and roll into Flagstaff sometime Monday afternoon
We've never been thru this route, but looks like fun on the map.

Any advice from you locals will be appreciated, and anyone feeling adventurous is more than welcome to come along

There is a difference in getting up at 4:00 for CC and getting up at 6:00 am for a National Rally. My usual morning wake up time is 6:30 am.

The cafe in Happy Jack has decent food. There is not a whole lot going on in Happy Jack but it's a nice drive. Watch out for elk and deer in that area. Oh, and the occasional skunk.

It wouldn't be the first time, although, I'm surprised she isn't dragging her dad to Flagstaff along with his as well.

I'm surprised too. I'll bet Dad would love playing golf with Smokey, Bondo Princess, golfer2 and any others who'll be signing up.

I have a time share in Sedona for a week starting on Friday night so I probably will be leaving early Friday morning to get there for Friday night. I have a friend in Arizona that I want to visit before the rally starts. I will see all of you on Monday in Flagstaff. We can discuss the return trip details when we get to Flagstaff.

I think he forgot to check with his travel agent. I believe we will leave Friday because we have family and friends to see in Phoenix before going on to Flagstaff. Maybe Saturday

What a treat! You will enjoy the trip to Scotland and we will have to wait until another time to see you. Maybe we can get together in So. Calif. for a small run or something later. We have a new SSR couple in Moorpark who want to do something local.

Looks like me, CANARY & Wayne will leave from my place around noon Sunday, spent one night in Needles.
We're not sure which cheap run down hotel we're staying at.
Should be in Flagstaff by noon Monday

Hey Jeff
your idea of a cheap, rundown, hotel isn't very inviting.

Bob and Glo need to take some time to figure out our route. Sometimes we like to stop by Palm Desert to Check our place but not sure yet. I'm glad things are falling into place for your caravan. We'll let you know if we decide to join in.

Per Randi (artsmart) recommendation, I've got reservation at Best Western Colorado River Inn in Needles.($90... not cheap either)
As for coming home, we're going to Prescott for a night then we'll head to Palm Springs for two night staying at our WorldMark resort.

Maybe some other time. Lake Havasu is going to be a zoo that weekend. With all those hot bikini girls ... I'll never want to leave.
