Question SSR's in Reno

This past weekend, I took and drove to Reno to watch the Steelers beat the Packers with a buddy of mine. Since our teams only play each other every 4 years, it seemed like the thing to do.

I was very fortunate to have dry weather, so aside from miles of fog, it was smooth sailing both directions.

However, I immediately noticed two things while in Reno.
(1) I was the only SSR
(2) You'd think Northern Nevada had never seen an SSR before. The truck got LOTS of attention.

So it makes me wonder, am I the only one crazy enough to drive an SSR in the winter in Reno, or was I the only SSR there?

When I came through there on my way home from Kerrville it was like no one had ever seen one before and I saw none while I was there. That was in the end of June. I am guessing you were the only one there.

Next time I go Over-the-Hill to see my friend Lew, I'll be driving the R. He's already seen the Durango...

Yup. We get used to being somewhat ignored in the Las Vegas area, maybe because there are so many of them here. But when we went up to WA & OR this past summer, we too got LOTS of attention with the SSR.

It's kinda' fun actually.
