Santa Cruz & Boardwalk (North of Montery) On the same Ocean!.
We caravan down to Santa Cruz for lunch at Vasili's Restaurant ,then we play all over the boardwalk until 3:30pm., then we meet up and head over to Hwy#1 and north (Photo Shoot on Ocean Beach) to La Honda east on Hwy#84 through the mountains. Short stop at the forest oases there, then home. OPTIONAL: Dinner at Banchero's Italian Restaurant in Hayward.

Annual Brentwood Xmas Parade.

Last year we had 10 SSR's and a nice dinner afterwards at the Brentwood Cafe.
I went and visted a good friend of mine the first week I bought my SSR in "San Jo" where I was raised and lived for 35 years. I told my buddy, Cliff that I sure wanted to go over "The Hill" in this thing. But there was just not enough time to do so. Once apon a time, I hauled sand over "The Hill" for 5 years for Paicfic Ready Mix to their various concrete plants in the Bay Area.
Maybe..... Just maybe, I can make the cruz and then drop off my bud Cliff and head to Eddies Saturday afternoon for some pratice and get the ride dialed in for the race. Seeings how I'm about 20 minutes out of SACTO, It will be a COOL/BANZAI trip over "The Hill." Just maybe......

A great day of fun and top down weather in Santa Cruz, shame that half the boardwalk was closed. Did a few things different than what was planned but ended up seeing everyone who made it. Here are a few pictures of the trip home up the coast and where we stopped for dinner. I had forgotten my memory card for the camera so these are from my cell, Hope someone else can post pictures from down in Santa Cruz. Steve, sorry you couldn't make it this month, you were in our thoughts and missed by all, Hope you are feeling better and getting your rest, look forward to seeing and Judy next month for the parade.
