I'll start with this idea.
Maybe someone would put together a cruise around the Pasadena area and follow it with a tour of a miniature railroad in their backyard. I wonder if anyone here knows of such a thing.
Jim
After these commets I thought maybe I should start a thread to measure the interest in a cruise around Pasadena and some sort of get together at my house to see the trains and have some food. Need to know what kind of plans to make for this.
I think that if we meet at the Rose Bowl parking lot around 10:30 or 11:00 for a photo and a cruise around the sights of the city for 30 to 45 minutes including a possible stop for a photo at the City Hall we could then end at my house and enjoy a hamburger and chips type lunch with beer and soda and watch the trains run while we relax. I will do as others have and keep a list of names in the next post as they add and subtract themselves between now and then by posting here or PM.
Other ideas can still be considered as nothing is in stone yet.
There was talk of a cruise from Disneyland to Topanga to Pasadena as well. This idea has been alluded to on this thread but nothing firm. I doubt if gas will get any cheaper, which will probably play a part?

Sounds like a great time Dwight. So far, I have rounded up a spare seat for one of us. So won't be able to count us in until we find one more ride (from and to the hotel).

I run G and still have some Z which my wife gave me as a wedding present. That got me back into trains after many years without.

I suspect I may have a seat available but not certain at the moment. As far as your garden, they're going to tell you all you plants are no good because they'll all die next winter when the snow comes
Dwight,
Count Lloyd and I in for this Sunday event in Pasadena.....I can help by bringing a side dish for the BBQ.
Wayne and Sandy...........if an extra seat is not available, I will drive my Camry and pick up/ return you two from the hotel.

Food wise, what can we bring?
As far as what you can bring, I'll get back to you, and Bondo Princess too, when we get closer to the date and have close to final numbers. Thanks for the offer.

Maybe BlueSSR will figure out a way to make the trip... and if I do, there will be a co-pilot seat available as Smokey does not do Disneyland he says! LOL
Hopefully I can be more committed and know my schedule in about a month.

Will be happy to have one or both of you with one or two trucks if it works out either way.
