Tri State SSR Run - So Cal group ++++

Check out the SouthWest post of C1Trob...he wants to get a group of Cal/Nev/Az

together for a run to Lake Havasu toward the end of January 2006. Tell me what you think...how many would be interested??? Obviously, this would be an overnighter for most so need to know who might be interested so plans could be made for housing, etc.

For those of you interested in Laughlin...its not far!!! Let me know if you prefer Laughlin or Lake Havasu...

Debbie and I will be glad to spend a Saturday nite in Laughlin with you guys.... and gals. Sounds like a good road trip. I know that there are a number of AZ fanatics that are up for this.

Can we get a fanatic from the Laughlin area be a local/focal point? It would help.

I hope we could get a hotel to give us preferred VIP parking and a block of rooms at a group rate.

I think C1Trob was thinking more along the lines of Havasu but we could do a day trip to Laughlin or something like that. Haven't run across any

in the immediate Bullhead, Laughlin, Needles area, so if you are out there let us know. Let's keep our options open until we see which direction the interest goes.

Laughlin is only 1 1/2 hours away for me and 20 minutes to the Las Vegas strip!!
If my hubby and I can get time off that weekend you decide in January...count us in!!

Looks like it will be Jan 27-29, Laughlin. Waiting for C1Trob to finalize details and then we will post new thread, giving particulars, and start the count. Thinking there will be a mini-run and some get togethers planned. Keep an eye out for the latest details.

One suggestion when you post a new thread put the date in it, you will get more of a response if people see it on the title of the tread for some reason.

I believe there is also a Chevy Dealer in Bullhead that could host us, not sure??

Thanks for the advice about the date, Tony. I have noticed that myself and we will definitely put the date in the thread title. Sounds like you might be one of those gamblin' men. I grew up so close to Vegas and was around when the first casino was opened in Laughlin that I never got the gambling bug...but this will give me a chance to see family and friends and a good run in the

The Riverside Casino has Don Laughlin's Auto Museum maybe they could host us if we put on a SSR show for them, just a thought??

I don't know how many have been to Oatman, AZ, but it's a really neat little town east of Laughlin on old Route 66. They have a few little shops and there are burros that wander up and down the street. Might make a fun run for Sunday morning after breakfast. You can get there from Laughlin or Lake Havasu.
I see you have me down for Lake Havasu, Randi, but I'm OK with either. We just wanta jump in the SSR and go somewhere. It's 1 hour from Laughlin to Oatman and 1 1/2 hours from Havasu to Oatman.

Lloyd...you must have been reading my mind. Plans are being made for an Oatman run, probably on Saturday, early afternoon/late morning. I have been going to Oatman since before I was born...my family has been in the Needles area since 1929...before there was a Bullhead, Lake Havasu City, AZ or a Laughlin. Soon as Rob (C1Trob) gets everything set we will start a new thread and begin posting info...hope you will be able to make name badges for the "newbies".

It just takes one little match and we can get the sprinklers to work in the Hotel
