Wrightwood Cruise July 30
Time for a summer cruise!
After seeing Llogers pictures and the tale of driving Angles Crest Hwy it's been decided we need to get together for some food and scenery!
So, lets meet up at 10:00 AM at (where else) Starbucks in La Canada-475 Foothill blvd -Corner of Gould and Foothill.
We'll then head up Angles Crest Hwy for a cool drive on top of the mountians with a pit stop here Newcomb's Ranch Bar & Restaurant
Then, our lunch stop in Wrightwood. Talked to the owner last week, they'll love to have us! Nice outdoor patio and parking out front for us. Welcome To The Grizzly Cafe
After lunch those that want can follow us down the back side thru Valyermo to this place in Littlerock then home thru Palmdale Charlie Brown Farms
A full day, you betcha! You're welcome to come along for all or any part of this adventure, hope to see ya

Man I'd do anything to meet up with Lloyd and Gerri again and to meet my nemesis ( I mean editor) , Jeff (RRR). Our escrow is due to close the day before. with any luck, and we will be moving. How close you will be. Maybe we can take a break or something.

Dang … Just tell them escrow folks that you’re tired of living under that San Bernardino bridge and would like the closing date moved up a week or two.

Okay, I do not think it will close until 8/10 so if we aren't busy moving furniture or whatever, we will be there.

We were down that way today so went by the meeting spot on a recon run. There's a Trader Joes a bank and a Petsmart there, and the Starbucks is tucked back in the corner of the lot, so the parking lot was pretty full.
This is a very casual event, no schedule to keep, got all day to kill. Some of you will probably want to bail out and head back to your side of the mountain from Wrightwood. No problemo, hugs all around before you leave
For those that have never experienced Charlie Browns, mere words can't describe the place, you just gotta stop there sometime!

Even tho we are not from Cal. (we live in Yuma, just 15 miles from So. Cal. border) & are planning a trip to Big Bear/Lake arrowhead, Ca. & maybe meeting Jgrden. Would Like to combine it with your July 30th. Angeles crest cruise. Would anyone mind if we tag along? We'll behave! We really like scenic drives with plenty of photo ops. We can get a personal reference from Fuji & Betty if needed. (Yellow Bear & Purple Hawk.) Don't know if it will help or not.
