Due to the tight fitting in the R for my left leg, I'm planning on two days drive with a an overnight stay in Kingman AZ. That about 365 miles for day one then day two will be 459 miles to Durango.

As it stands now, Deborah and I will leave about 2 p.m. on Wednesday, the 20th. Arrive Flagstaff around 9 p.m. Leave Flagstaff 9 a.m. on Thursday, the 21st, arriving the Durango Doubletree around 3 p.m.

Randi, would you please pick a meet point in Flagstaff for a caravan departure at 9 a.m. on the 21st, and give us the address and directions off I-40 to meet. We will be heading north out of Flagstaff, through the four corners area, to Durango. Hope we can get a shot of our caravan in four states at the same time and the same picture.

Yes, Jeff, I'll find a meet spot in Flagstaff, and gather directions for us all toward four corners.

That's where we stopped when I was helping my friends move to Durango.... Only bad thing, we pick a hotel that was near the train! .. won't make that mistake again!

If you want to get a little preview of Durango and the train, visit member "OP"s gallery. All the train pictures are the Durango and Silverton Train. Thanks for the great pictures, Owen.

We lived there for 16 years - every hotel/motel/B&B is near the train!

Doesn't bother me, as it makes it feel like I'm in my own bed as I grew up next to the tracks in Needles and we have trains here as well...once you get used to the sound its very comforting

Bob,
Are they saying there are no more rooms? This hotel is a "Hilton affiliate" and when I made our reservations I actually talked to a Hilton Rep, not the hotel staff as they frowarded me on to them. You need to know I made my reservations at 10PM so that might have made a differernce. Glad to see you two are going to be attending... the girls will have to get together on their knitting projects.

Side bar... Can't thank you enough for the Regan Run.

Bob and Gloria,

Glad you made it home safe, and Deb and I are really excited that you guys are coming to Durango. Be sure and get in on the caravan leaving Flagstaff, Thur. the 21st at 9 a.m. There will be more details as time draws closer. Bigwave (Duane and Elaine) are all set for a SSR photo shoot at 4 corners on our way to Durango.
