I have recruited a local (north Texas) SSR owner to join us on this trip. If you look at the post that has the list of members attending, you will see bonnieSSR. SHE has an 04 rico and plans to pull it behind their motor home and meet us in Colorado. She has not registered on the forum, but I'm sure she will soon. I hope I am not hi-jacking this thread--I just wanted to fill you in, just in case you saw her name and said "who is that".Wayne

Due to a death in the family, Zane and Linda won't be able to make this trip. We were looking forward to spending time with the SSR group but this just is the wrong time.
I have already sent my money in for the events,if I can get a refund it would be appreciated. If not then maybe some one could take our place. Thank you for your understanding. ZL SSR

So sorry to hear this Zane. We certainly extend our sympathies and understand. We will miss having you guys with us! I really enjoyed getting to know you guys better in Sedona! I am sure John will do what we can about a refund.

My "Company" isn't worth a whole hell of a lot nowadays ! !

This is BRUTAL . . . haven't seen the housing industry in such a mess EVER !

I do, genuinely, appreciate your concern about my presence at such a terrific event. There is nothing I'd rather do than be with my Fanatic friends in the beautiful high country of Colorado.

If I'm somehow able to show up at Durango, I'm sure many of my deceased friends would be contacting me about buying some insulated jackets for them.

Well, I have to admit I'd like the Air Conditioning installed in Hell before I get there, so come on down, Wearyeagle!

ROFLMAO I must owe you people money ? ! ? !

Linda, ironically, the math says drive instead of fly:

DRIVING: 1548 miles @ 18MPG = 86 gallons @ $4.71 = $405.06 (all write-off)

FLYING: R/T LAX to DRO . $351 . LAX parking . .$60 = $411.00 (harder to hide)

If I could wrap up everything here Wednesday(highly unlikely), haul a$$ from here to Flagstaff through the night(can't run all night like I used to be able to), meet up with the "4-corners Fanatics" in Flagstaff and then on to Durango, I'd only miss 2 workdays. I'd have to leave late Saturday night in order to be available for calls early Monday morning ! ! So, I will consider it, but please at least hoist one for me and all have an enjoyable FUN-FILLED FRENZIED FANATICAL WEEKEND.

How much is the FlyAway bus from Van Nuys... Might be easier than LAX parking...

No huge savings . . . plus I don't like the FlyAway lots in Van Nuys . . . cheapest lot at LAX "C" isn't much better, however. The real key is the TIME away business days. Lot of irons in the fire right now and need to be closer to home, plans, puter, etc.

The 3 hour layover in Phoenix on the return is a plus, as I could spend a couple of hours with my son at the airport.

(Irony . . . I used to fly R/T NON-STOP to Miami, NYC or Orlando to cruise for around $220 ! ! )
