2009 Happenings

Anyone got ideas for '09? Lets get some plans together...this 70 degree weather has me jonesin for a run. We should have 3-4 runs a year, with plenty of options in this amazing part of the country. Impromptu runs are also welcome...heading to buds bar in sedalia is a favorite of mine. Lets go Rocky Mountain region...SSR's unite

Some of our group had some great ideas last summer and fall that we could follow up on this year. I think gnarlydude mentioned a run around the mountains close to Silverthorne. I think bigtomchevy has some good ideas, too.

I think it's time to bring out group out of post-holiday hibernation. Maybe we can start with dinner next month, get everyone together face to face and visit. Somewhere around Castle Rock or maybe Bud's Bar in Sedalia is a possibility since our group is pretty well split between the Springs and the South Metro area here in Denver.

Bigtomchevy has a knack for finding great happy hours. Any ideas, Tom?

Let's think about a tentative date of Saturday, Feb. 7th in the late afternoon or early evening.

The Hickory House in Parker is great. We eat there all the time.

We are out of town on 2/7 so won't be able to join in.

We ate at the Hickory House in Parker tonight. It's a must do for our group. Good food and fun atmosphere. Also, had an early bird menu (4:30-6p except Fridays) that was well priced.

Also, we should check out one of the super cruises in Golden this summer. If I remember correctly, they are on the first Saturday evening each month, May through October.

Enjoy the warm weather this week!

We would love to get together, but our work schedule keeps us out of any Saturday plans. We are always off on Sundays, so if you guys plan a Sunday event we'll try to make it!
