Boulder Viewings Sept. 14

As I have mentioned before, I am offering to take people to see the a couple of places prior to heading up to Estes Park.

One of them is McGuckins. I was thinking we could head over there @ 9:00a, or so (Depending on Traffic and where you are staying on Thursday evening.

A short discription on McGuckins is as follows;

It all began in 1955 when our company’s namesake, a rugged, avid fisherman named Bill McGuckin, opened the doors of McGuckin Hardware. Employing four people in four departments, his success was based on his belief in personalized service, selection and first-hand experience. McGuckin Hardware currently employs around an average of 250 people on its 60,000+ square foot sales floor.

After touring through Mcguckins, for those who want to, we are going to go to Celestial Seasonings.

We would leave Mcguckins, grab a bite to eat, if you are hungry, then head over to Celestial Seasonings @ 12:30p.

Here is a short discription of the tour;

Guest Tours
Join us for a Sensational Experience!
The tour is FREE and takes 45 minutes.

Introductory video - hear the Celestial story from its roots to full bloom!

Walk through our Art Gallery and view original paintings from our tea boxes, created by some of the country's most famous illustrators. And visit our eclectic collection of very Celestial teapots and teacups.

Entertain your taste buds with our Tea Sampling. Taste a new flavor or savor your favorite. There are over 80 varieties to choose from.

Stroll through the Celestial Herb Garden, and see herbs and botanicals growing in a beautiful garden setting.

Venture into our "rocking and rolling" Factory, where 8 million tea bags are produced daily.

Experience The Mint Room, and encounter the mind-clearing power of peppermint and spearmint. "Stored in the enclosed room are crates of mint; visitors are bombarded with peppermint and spearmint. It really clears your sinuses."

I want to get a head count of everyon who is interested in these two side trips prior to heading to Estes Park.

1. Focks - Michael and Diane
2. Silver Belle - Melvin and Johna
3. Kart3d - Denny and Kay
4. Lloger - Lloyd and Gerry
5. SSReal - Eileen and Bill
6. Yellow Bear - Fuji and Betty
7. JACKWALDROP - Jack
8.

Celestial Seasonings

Shirley and I would like to meet up and have lunch with the group and make the Celestial Seasonings tour. We will be coming from Colorado Springs and trying to make the 9:00 meeting with the Denver Traffic going on, well I just can't make it. We could exchange cell phone numbers or meet at a time and place. PM me the details.
Thanks,
Bob

I've got cell phone numbers...But why don't we meet everyone at Mcguckins.

That way ever one can get there, by their own route. The Nelsons are staying in Broomfield, just down the road, while kart3d is closer to Northglen. Meanwhile Diane and I will be in Higlands Ranch, and I was thinking of taking the 470 route around the city to miss the traffic.

If you are coming from the south, Denver area, go North on Highway 36. You will cross baseline Rd. and 36 will become 28th St.. Drive north, past the collegge and when you come to Arapahoe, turn left. We will be on the left. Look for the rubber kneckers.

Directions to Mckuckins

@9:00a.

After slumming around the Mcguckins Hardware store, for an hour or more (if someone gets lost), we will travel onward and upward to Celestial Seasonings

Directions to Celestial Seasonings

You can check them out here, but I will have copies of the map for all of us.

We could use channel 7, but I like a walkie with sub channels as well.

The problem with just channel 7 is we good bleed over from the sub channels.

If you have the sub channels, lets make it 7-11 ?
