CO SSR May/June Get-together

Today's warm sunshine was inspiring! JT and I took the SSR out for a fun lunchtime cruise.

It got me thinking about getting our Colorado group together. We are coming up on prime cruising months in Colorado. How about a fun run somewhere between the Springs and Denver? Any good mountain locations that are within an hour or two? I'm thinking a short day run. I'll defer to your ideas, since I am not too familiar with that area.

Let me know your good ideas so we can get together and play soon!

I'll be visiting Keystone around that time if you would like to get together.
I'll be headed that way on the 4th through the 11th of May from Austin, Texas.

Been out of the SSR "loop" for a few months...Been busy with al kinds of stuff...(work, house remodel, cars, etc)..Went to Dallas and bought a black C6 Z-06 Corvette......Sold our 02 silver convertible Vette and bought a 99 triple black convertible Vette......Dont worry, we still have the black 05 SSR and have no intention of selling it....So the N-CROWD is ALL black now!!!

Also, a computer "guru" buddy put together a really cool website for me...just click on Dan Samento Click on words highlighted in yellow to pull up more pics...He said he'd do this for anyone, so if youre interested let me know, I'll hook you up with him....all you have to do is send him pics and info....

Anyway, just let us know when and where and more than likely we'll be there....

Yep, that was us...we were on our way to Champps (Briargate Shopping Center) for some grub....and FWIW, Chammps has a nice room for private gatherings....Our local Corvete club has used the room on several occasions...Im sure there wouldnt be a problem for the SSR group either...Another good place with a private room is Red, Hot and Blue on Academy blvd...
BTW SilverStreak...That SilverStreak of yours sure looked FINE going down the Interstate!!!!

Cool! I'll check in with you to see what your travel plans are and where you'll be coming through. Maybe we can organize a quick impromptu breakfast/lunch/dinner depending on your timeframe to meet. It's alway fun to meet more SSR folks!

Unhappy Wow!

Looks like really bad weather for this week. Any insight as to how bad it might be for Keystone? I might be flyng in instead of driving 1200 miles.

Looks like the weather was actually fine, but I didn't bring spongebob. If anyone has any ideas as to what is going on near by Keystone let me know.

Thanks All.

Looks like our weekend won't be open afterall. Sorry for the late post on this. Been off the computer for a few days. Our daughter had a tummy bug who then passed it on to me. Ah the joys of motherhood!

If any of you are interested, you can find out more info at Erie Town Fair Balloon Festival - Erie CO United States - HotAirBalloon.com I think the balloon launch starts early at around 6 AM, but looks like a great event.

Silver Streak, I don't know if we'll get something together before you head out as May is quickly coming to a close. If we miss you, good luck and keep us posted on how you are doing! I hope you hook up with some of the Texas SSR folks - they are a great group of people and we've really enjoyed our time traveling with them! Good luck!

I'll keep working on plans to get our group together at least once before Durango over the next few weeks. If you have any additional ideas, feel free to let me know. Thanks!

possible suggestion for the Dam Brewery up in Silverthorn. Good food and drink. Nice setting in Silverthorn on the Lake Dillon dam.

My apologies to this group for not following up on this. I've been checked out from the board for a while. Jwthomp and I have been focused on major career changes for us both and all of the related business that goes with those changes.

Thank you for your ideas. gnarly_dude, I love the idea of the Dam Brewery and Silverthorn is always a great spot. I know personally, we probably won't have a chance to get together with anyone before Durango next month, but please don't let that stop any of you guys from putting something together if you want.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone headed to Durango. I am also looking forward to things settling down this fall and getting together some more with our local group.

Take care and see some of you guys very, very soon in Durango!
