Colorado SSR Dinner
Hello everyone,
Hope you enjoyed the holidays! I am following up on my promise to get us together after the holidays. If I remember correctly, we visited about maybe coming back towards the Denver area this next time. I've got a couple of options in mind and wanted to get your input. Here's the 2 options I've got in mind:
1. Fudruckers in Aurora - This was mentioned as a favorite by many of us. They have good parking at this location.
2. Denver Restaurant Week, Feb. 23-29. There are over 100 area restaurants offering a special menu for $26.40 for one person or $52.80 for 2 to dine, excluding tax and tip. This is a good opportunity to go to some really nice places for a good price. Some of the restaurants included are the Buckhorn Exchange, The Fort, Cool River Cafe, Maggianos, the Broker, Del Friscos, Elways and more. Denver Restaurant Week 2008 lists all the restaurants. I think most menus offer salads/first course, a nice entre and dessert. We went to Cool River Cafe last year and enjoyed all courses including one of the best steaks I've had and a really nice dessert and salad.
Please let me know what you think. I think either option would be fun. I am also open to other ideas, too, including activities outside of dinner.

If I was in the area, I'd recommend White Fence Farm on West Jewell Avenue between Sheridan and Wadsworth in Lakewood.
Guess I'll wait until I visit my inlaws next May.
Count me in, Fudruckers sounds great but anything else would work just fine for Shirley and me. I'll keep an eye on the web site for more info. Looking forward to the get together.
You can count us in, assuming the calendar is clear. We arent picky, Found the best bar-be-que in town at "Famous Dave,s 'in the old Stapleton complex.Ranked No. 1 in U.S.A.Has my vote, see ya, Bigtomchevy

I had forgotten about White Fence Farms. I haven't been there, but heard that it is a must do with their fried chicken. I'll make a note of that and Famous Dave's. I'm always up for good barbecue.
How about Fudruckers in Aurora this round on Feb. 9th in the evening? I'm open to other days, too. I figured Saturday may be the easiest with work schedules, etc.
Also, when the weather warms up, maybe we can think about doing a quick day trip in the mountains or one of the places we talked about last time. I'm keeping my eye open for cool museum, travel places in the area that might be fun to check out, too.

Thanks for the input! Let's plan on Saturday Feb. 9th at 6:30-ish at Fudruckers in Aurora. I'll put the info in a separate post with a specific title to catch people's attention.
RatherEatWorms, we'll miss you, but certainly understand busy schedules and look forward to seeing you later on.
Kart3D, I love the idea of Gunther Toody's for breakfast and will keep this in mind for the next event in the Denver area. Glad to hear you were on your way to Laughlin and can't wait to hear about it! Safe travels!
07turbo, Welcome! We'll look forward to meeting you!

Laughlin
Life is to short not to get out and meet and go to new places. Laughlin was GREAT. Everyone is friends and enjoy visiting. If you don,t get out and go there might not be a tomorrow. Think about it. Denny & Kay.
