We're all ready to go

Lloyd and I are packed and all "tech" things are being charged. Leaving tomorrow morning, staying overnight in UT and we should be in Boulder, CO by Thurs. afternoon. Planning on a couple of tours with Focks in Boulder, then off to Estes Park by Friday afternoon. Looking forward to the cooler weather and the fresh mountain air.

The drive was beautiful today. Pulled out at 4:15 a.m. Arrived Castle Rock at 7:20 p.m. 14 hours, 5 minutes. 1065 miles 20.8 mpg. You guys all drive safe the rest of the way and we will see you on Fiday.

It's a smal world. We knew Yellow Bear & Purple Hawk were leaving this morning but we didn't know which route they were taking or where they were spending the night. We had just gotten back to our room after dinner at Mom' Cafe when Gerry's cell phone rang. It was Fuji (Yellow Bear) and he wanted to know where we were. Gerry told him we were in Salina, UT, and he said they were also. They are staying at the Super 8 and we are staying at the Rodeway Inn. Right across the street from each other. We had a nice visit will see them again tomorrow in Boulder.

What are the odds of driving 650 miles and choosing a motel right across the street from another Fanatic?
We had a nice visit with the Llogers and will be on the road a short time behind them. Maybe close enough for radio contact?
We'll see you guys in Boulder!!!

All packed and we will be leaving tonight right after work. Probably stop half way and be there sometime before noon tomorrow.

John & I arrived in Estes a little while ago. We're sitting on the front porch of the Stanley enjoying the view. The weather couldn't be better! We'll look forward to seeing you all soon!

Packets!

The Stanley Hotel has offered to pass out the rally packets at the Front Desk (I should say they strongly suggested we do it this way - what the heck, it works for us.) Anyway, regardless of where you’re staying, come to The Stanley Hotel Front Desk Friday afternoon, let them know your name, and they should have a packet waiting for you. Lori and I are still going to hang around from noon to four, and if you have any issues please give us a call.

Surprise visitor

At the big dinner Friday night with Estes Car Club we had a surprise visitor arrive for the week-end. Lady in Red (John and Liz) arrived for the rally. So nice that they could make it.
