I've been there, and I even met the man once. It was a long time ago (when I used to live in Denver) and I was picking up a 8 wheeler. But he was outside of his museum shooting one of his cars, probally for one of his books.
Fascinating writer, fascinating man.

Not at all sure but do you mean Clive Cussler, the author? I know he is a huge car buff and I have noticed one of the Fanatics screen name is "Dirk Pitt", Cussler's NUMA hero. His profile lists him in Oklahoma, possibly somewhat close to where you are.
This is a mean nothing post, just curious.

Rib City Grill
We ate at one coming from Durando at Montrose and it was good and reasonable price. See there is one in Arvada & Littleton. Anyone tried these? Hear Jim N Nicks BBQ in Aurora is good also. The Hooters in Westminister is the best in Denver. Yes we are always looking for food.Hear there is an Italian place the Mob in Denver used to eat at. Still has the bullet proof glass. If nothing works this weekend it,s ok as we will be back .We just want out of Dodge. Denny & Kay

Jim and Nicks in Aurora is very good. Don't know what Italian restaurant that would be, but we tried Armando's in Parker a couple of weeks ago and it was some of the best Italian food we'd ever had. It's a locally run place with two locations on our side of town.
bigtomchevy has told us about Famous Dave's BBQ. I'd trust his recommendation, too, since we have discovered his wonderful talent of finding the best happy hours in town for our group to check out. Tom, do you have any recommendations?
Yes, absolutely, Famous Dave,s Bar-B-Que in the old Stapleton complex off of Quebec St.Ranked # 1 in U.S.A.for bar-b-que. most excellent choice! Also they have a second one now on about 128th and washington?I reccomend the feast for 4 on menu.Come hungry, Regards, Bigtomchevy
