We just bought our SSR a few months ago, are looking for events to attend, we live in Saskatchewan so the Dakotas, Montana etc are within easy reach, any possible excuse to drive somewhere would be welcome, we;d love to find a nearby club to join too!

I understand there are quite a few SSRs in Calgary and Edmonton areas so I could say something like, "look out your window to the west" but that would be just wrong In my area I have seen 3 SSRs this year, outside of events (Niagara and Woodward), they are a really rare commodity.
There are only 3 besides us in Regina. We will explore possibilities in AB but to be honest we'd rather travel south. Have been through this before, first with 567 Chevs, then with Corvettes ... the western Canadian clubs can be cliquey (sp?) & the events are the same things over & over. We hope to go to Ontario next summer, for the Niagara event & to explore the area, but hope to find other events too ... thx for the welcome ...

Come on down this Winter March 4,5 &6 will be the Florida SSR Rally in Kissimmee. FL - it will be topdown weather

welcome to the site, lots of ssr's up here. the biggest event out west is penticton , last week of june, a great get together. lots of ssr's from all over there then. there are a few ssr's in sask that i know of, i'm sure they will chime in soon!!

No such thing as cliquey within the SSR community. Find an event to attend. Once you get there, you'll really enjoy the group.
The Edmonton group is pretty active, and a lot of them will be coming to Penticton late June next year. I will be posting the info fairly soon.
Highest number attending was 62 in 2008, had 43 last June. Longest distance was Phoenix (Melvin and Johna) from near Galveston, Texas.
The International run to Flagstaff next September will be the biggie.
Like Fuji mentioned, Support Tech (Steve Fenner) in Saskatoon is a good contact.

Any time you get to California you will likely find a group to with because the weather is usually conducive to that. You also might want to check the National Forum for the WDC in MI the end of Aug. It should be really special in 2011.
