Corrected! Interesting - I copied the directions from a previous run to Laughlin and no one caught the error in the previous post.

Jeff, Question for you, with over 500 miles of driving to do on Wed, where were you planning on stopping to refuel our SSR?

I would hope we could wait for the cheaper gas in AZ after we cross the river.

Barstow isn't too bad, just make sure you have enough to get to Kingman...you'll have to sell the to get a fill up in Needles

For me, it 384 miles to Kindman. So I need to get better then 16.5 mpg. Maybe I'll buy $5 - $10 worth of gas in Barstow just to be safe.

Since that is a meeting spot anyway that might not be such a bad idea. It would put everybody on a similar target for the remainder of the journey.

Refreshing my memory please, how many gas stations are there at the Barstow/Tanger Outlet area?

(is that where we're meeting at?)

Chevron - 4.359
76 - 4.399
Shell - 4.459

I sometimes fill up at the Chevron...not too bad, if you wait until Newberry Springs then the price jumps up quickly and continues up until you hit AZ

Jeff and All,

I would suggest to be relatively full when we leave Ontario. We will have opportunity to fuel just after our lunch stop in Needles just across the river on the Arizona side. (222 miles) Next fuel in Flagstaff. (228 miles) Next fuel in Durango. (365 miles) All stock SSRs can travel in excess of 400 miles on a tank, particularly at consistent highway speeds.
