Ahhhhh yes... A BIG Thanks goes out to Kevin for allowing us to view them over and over again.
You're all quite welcome. That's one of the reasons I wanted an internet service where I could host my own stuff.
As far as viewing the files, the commercials are Mpeg files, which should play just fine in windows media player, Quicktime, or Real player. I know from creating my own movie files from time to time that sometimes they get created with a CODEC that's not very common. Anyone that doesn't have it installed can't view the file. Since I didn't make the files, I'm not sure which one was used. Each of the commercials are about 10Mb in size.
The TV shows I did record and because the files sizes were in the 200+MB range, there was no way I could see having people download the files. So, the only choice I had was the free Real video server (I tried quicktime unsuccessfully) since my web server is unix (Sun Solaris). I know a lot of people hate Real player, but it was the lesser of two evils.
Oh, and everyone can also extend some thanks to Marc and Wildcat66 since that was the circuitous path the files took before they got to me.
PS: I'm willing to put other Chevy commercials up as well. I was going to put some of the new Silverado commercials up, but lately, time's been a precious commodity that's been short in supply.

I love to have a few of those great commercials... I particularly like the one that shows the old farm country history time line. It shows the ever changing farm landscape with the fence continuously moving in the foreground.

I downloaded Quick Time but was only able to see 2 of the commercials. I was not able to see the .MOV, just the .Mpeg. Am I doing something wrong? Help!
A big Thanks to You as well, Mark.............
I was able to play them all, but only saved the 3 at the bottom, viewed with my Real player, on my PC.
The others I played with Quicktime, however a fee is required to save them to my computer.
I guess it might be worth it, just wanted to check with you guys to see if you all needed to pay as well?
PS for what its worth Im on my 2nd SSR, and Love it.
Thank Tony.

I downloaded all and played them all.... No fee's required from me. I must be special?................. NOT!! There should be a free version out there somewhere.

I know that the majority of problems with viewing these various files stem from missing codecs. I don't know why the Quicktime on my laptop here (just the plain jane 7.x while I have the 6.x Pro on my desktop) plays the Quicktime (.mov) files just fine and my Media Player plays the Mpeg files just fine. It might be because of some other program installed on my computer that already had the codecs installed.
However, I did a little bit of research and I found alternative programs for both Quicktime and Real player and a Codec package as well. If you're willing to try them out, I found them all at www.free-codecs.com
Look for:
Quicktime Alternative
Real Alternative
K-Light Codec Pack (comes in several flavors - I'd recommend the Full to get them all)
The codec pack would be the minimum you'd need if you already have the other players installed.
