OK.....I'm confused.....call it what you want, but the SSR Fanatic site you're on IS a club.....we here in Texas get together on a regular basis and there are a number of "national" events...do yourself a favor and join us!!!!
My SSR: '03 Smokin' Asphalt, Vin 1656 B-day 11/13/03, Slightly modified via bad influence hdflstf & TommyB
The SSRFanatics are not like the traditional car clubs... with chapters, presidents, etc! (Which personally I think is fabulous!) If you want to organize something in your area... go for it... post it & fanatics will sign up & attend. Check under forums in your area, see what events are happening & attend... its as easy as that!! And by the WELCOME!!!

Sounds like fun, except that will be the ROT Biker Rally in Austin and I have to work it. If you change it to a different weekend, I can probably make it. I look for a reason to get out of town.

Based on your proposed area you might find some takers on the Southeast Forum IF you post it as a get together so people know what they will be looking at if they open it.

Best advice for a SSR Event is plan it, and you may get 5 or 50 you never know There might be lots of southerner's ready to drive to you!!!!! Spring is just around the corner
I remember when the Texas group started, one of our first runs had 2 trucks' and we had a blast

Very true. My first "PA Chocolate Tour" had only 4 participants (that was including myself). The next year, 22, this past year, 35 or 36 (I'm talking in vehicles, not actual people though). If you have something interesting planned for people to do, you're bound to get some interest.
The first gathering I joined up with had only 4 participants as well, but I had a great time and got to go somewhere I had never been - Ocean City MD.

Thanks for your input. Any suggestions are appreciated
