SSR 06 recall

Just discovered under Auto Lemon Law Attorneys - Michigan, California, New Jersey, New York, Illinois, Wisconsin, Florida, Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Nevada, Colorado there's a recall on some 06's.

Certain vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard # 110, "Tire Selection & Rims......These vehicles were shipped with Tire & Loading Information Labels listing an inaccurate vehicle capacity weight.

If anyone has a question contact Chevy @ 1-800-630-2438

When I discovered this recall it appears only to be replacing the label. This is until someone who discovers tire pressures, load was incorrect and an accident occurred.

Hey,

Would mine be 1, VIN 1GCES14H46B122427? Just discovered that it was
bought back under the Fla. Lemon Law. What's that mean? Do I need to
get new wheels? What else might be affected? The whole electrical
system could be screwed up as well.

I have no clue what may be required re: the above recall...may simply be a label change.

Lemon laws vary from state to state but require the manufacturer to "buy-back" the vehicle from the consumer if it has been subject to multiple repairs and/or a significant amount of time out of service.

If you purchased the vehicle from a dealer, there may have been disclosure laws in effect which were violated or, you may still be covered by a lemon law. If any law is applicable, it is most likely the state law in which you purchased the vehicle, but residency issues could be involved also. There are attorneys that specialize in this.

I'm thinking it's label only. My T&L sticker says 1233 lbs combined load capacity but can't see in the owners manual or the service manual what the correct figure is. If this is correct I should take the golf clubs out before giving a sumo wrestler a ride.
I have yet to locate my T&A sticker although thus far has not been required!
Mine is a Wisconsin truck! Could it be that mine has an incorrectly printed sticker? I can just imagine mine going through the Barrett Jackson 30 years from now being extolled as one of those rare mislabelled ones.

Arrow If correct... to my knowledge would be the very first recall on an SSR

Whew... glad to hear that.

*Thank goodness Rico is not around anymore... he would be trying to get everyone with an 06 to sue GM and or have GM buy back all the 06 SSRs that had miss printed labels on them.
