Watchin' a 2009 episode of "How It's Made" on Discovery Channel today. They were showing the manufacturing of carbon fiber and were making a set of integrated ground effects/running boards. At the end of the segment they showed a bronze/burnt orange colored SSR.
My SSR: 2004 UV with flames #10443 (BOD: 05-24-04), 2005 "Sinister SSR"#19055 (BOD: 12-09-04)
I Tivo'd this months ago and still haven't watched it. Both the business owner and the SSR owner are Fanatics, it's awesome that they were recognized this way!
I saw that episode earlier in the week and I didn't realize how much work & time was involved in making those parts.... and that doesn't include making the mold.
I sure hope to meet Mo and that awesome looking SSR someday.
I purchased the rear valances from 3G and they fit like a glove. These guys are great to deal with and make an excellent product. I did see this show went it aired.
Wow..thanks for link. I didn't realize the work involved in getting a finished product. I follow a company (ZOLT is stock symbol) that makes carbon fiber wind turbine blades and that must be a helluva process to make those huge fan blades.
Thanks! That was a really cool video of your carbon fiber process. That is one really cool looking SSR that you have. I love that burnt orange color. The miniature Pistons basketball court in the bed of the truck is absolutely amazing. Have you posted any detailed pictures of that on any other threads? It would be really cool to see!

Sorry, Huaw, The SSR is not mine. It belongs to Moe Essix. His was one of many with all of my Ground effects on it and when the Crew asked if we could get someones vehicle there to video and we only had a few hours, I immediately called Moe, who lives less than 15 miles from our shop. He was very happy to accomodate us and is now even more pleased since they showed his SSR so much on the Show. His sons were so proud to see Daddy's SSR on the Television.
He has a lot of talent and is very knowledgable about suspension, wheels, and tires on the SSR.
