My SSR: 2004 UltraViolet VIN#8148
Top 10
Having purchased my SSR, and working in Muscle Shoals. Al. I was driving on the Trace Between Colbert, AL. and Lawrence, AL., when my first CHECK PASSENGER AIR BAG light came on. Had something to do with a connection, but they replaced the airbag anyway. The Trace is a wonderful topdown down cruise highway. Just watch out for the deer.
13MPG??? Did they have a hole in there tank? The worse I ever got was 16mpg.
Not far off really. When I'm stuck with all in-town driving, I've been in the 13-14 MPG range. However, as I had posted on my HRPT page (sort of a blog), I have actually hit 24 MPG! (all-highway miles)
My SSR: Pearl over UV tu-tone - "PurLple" w/ custom billet rallye wheels/baby moons & wide whitewalls, 4:56s
Thanks Marc, that's a great read. We're heading to California this week and I do believe we might just have to detour over to the #1 at Carmel and head south from there. A pleasant friday morning top-down tour, camera at the ready. Yee-haw

My SSR: #1740 - Yellow ~ Built 11-18-2003 Took Delivery 12/05/2003
Pch
I've made the Hwy 1 Carmel~Cayucos run a few times in my SSR.
I'm lucky enough to be able to make the drive a LOOP - leaving the Central Valley in the AM - have an early lunch near Carmel - Do the drive south - and end up back home at a fairly reasonable hour.
We still need to set up a run of Hwy 1 - watching the SSR's snake thru the curves there would be GREAT!
FYI: Monterey County Route G16 between Hwy 101 and Hwy 1 is 45 miles of driving bliss too!

Hey Keith, super shots as always I wish I was out west by you... just love all the beautiful scenery...
BTW: The next time you are out by the beautiful water I was hoping you might be able to get a few more great shots... I.E. like the two red SSRs shown below.

I have an 05, 6 spd manual. get 15+ around town getting it on and 23 on the highway, with less than 3000 miles on the odometer. Can't wait till it gets broke in...

Must be nice... i get 14-15 in town and max out at 21 on the highway if I am real gentle with it.. but most of the time I am running 80-90mph so i guess i get what I deserve..
