SSR in New Commercial

HI Group,

I just got a late email today from Chevrolet and they asked me if I would like to pass it on to our members here! The new Chevrolet ad will feature 6 - SS (Super Sport) models. You have to wait and see what color is featured in that commercial. I will give you a hint... it’s not Silver.

The ad will air for the first time this Sunday, February 13th. during the Grammy's. I have a MPEG video of the 30 second commercial already.

So for those that would like a copy of it to save for their archives please drop me a PM with your e-mail address OK?

It is a great commercial. All those chevy vehicles. I wish I was one of the stunt drivers for it.

I liked the music as well... wish the commercial was 60 seconds instead of 30.

I agree with you Marc. I wish it was longer and showed more of the Vehicles in it. Also the beat was great. It would be nice to have a commercial for the web site.

PS I have been receiving returned messages where I have sent a number of you the commercial. If you haven't received your copy then please resubmit your email address to me perhaps an alternate one to try out.

Hey Marc,

That message seems to be that your e-mail is to large. Some web host site have limits as to how large your e-mail can be when you send or receive. They do this so user do not take up all there server space with files that are mpeg or any other video striming file. Sorry for this.

Marc, thanks for the commercial, It took a bit of updating real player and downloading it I finally got to watch it 1 or 6 times

. They don't show those beautiful lines of the SSR nearly enough but maybe the full length commercial will show it off better.

Did they say anything about them being loaded into a Tivo showcase? Chevy has done that before with the Boys Dream Corvette commercial amoung others.

Marc sent the commercial to me. I will host it on one of my web sites. The server will have plenty of bandwidth - the file is right at 6 megs - so how about we wait until Sunday evening and you can get it from there instead of Marc having to email it multiple times.

I will post the link when I can make it available for public consumption - I don't want Marc to get in trouble with whomever released it early to him.

Fair enough?

If you saved it to your computer it should be smooth. If you are trying to run it from my server, it may break up - if it plays faster than you can download.

Thanks for allowing our members to view the commercial off of your site.

If any of you would still like the full 30 second commercial either I can or other members can email it to you and or you can record tonights Grammy Awards and save it onto your computer as a full video version.

Ps Apparently Diggs version is 26 seconds just 4 seconds short of the full 30 second version.

I noticed it does not start right at the beginning, but I figured for an advance copy. that was as good as we get.

If anyone records it in full tonight, send it to diggman@diggman.com and I'll post it up to replace the (short) advance copy. I'll be at work but I'll make it available as soon as I can.

I saw it during the Grammy's (I think this is the one)

A quik shot of a Black SSR, and then a Round About of dozens of Black Vehicles going in a circle. Well coreographed (I know I spelled that wrong LOL), but left me wanting more SSR!!!

I do feel it is more for an excitement factor, and the tune was cool!

during The West Wing on NBC.
A computer mouse is moving along a table when it passes a Yellow Slingshot SSR with the headlights flashing. Almost missed it but backed TIVO up and watched it is slo-mo to make sure what I saw.
Now the Slingshot with the top down has, now I watched this three times, four "Silver Grille Bars". Hope someone else viewed this commercial, and I'm not being delusional. My wife actually picked up on it before I did.
