This happy horse$hit article has been brought up before. I am not sure if it was Time Ragazine , but the wording was the same. I can tell that they are experts on the subject when they refer to the "composite" body panels on the SSR. This is irresponsible journalism, and totally unfair to the the dreamers who had the moxie to build and design the SSR and is basically inferring that anyone who bought one is an idiot. If you read about some of the other cars they malign, you can see more of their ignorance.
Also in another instance, they refer to the 2002 BMW 745 as "perfectly constructed and astonishingly fast," but go on to trash the entire car as one of the worst in history because they were too stupid to understand how to use one of that car's electronic options. Now even if the i drive gizmo is that bad, it has nothing to how good the car itself functions (again according to them, "perfectly constructed and astonishingly fast") It's like one magazine article I read not too long ago that gave a thumbs down to the new Z06 because they didn't like the way the I pod interface functioned
Has anyone ever heard of William Thomas Cain/Getty
I guess if you watch CNN you might. That guy should not use the Getty name. Unless William is a girl ? I have never seen a guy use two last names, I mean come on it sounds like he is using his/her Maiden name. Don't look for his name too be in dark ink. It's like he is ashamed of his story.
My SSR: Pearl over UV tu-tone - "PurLple" w/ custom billet rallye wheels/baby moons & wide whitewalls, 4:56s
TIME - since when are they an automotive mag? I don't think consumers would buy that when shopping for a car. Nor would I buy Car And Driver if I was interested in learning about the ongoing plight of the polar bear and it's diminishing breeding grounds

It's hard for me to fathom but 30+ years ago I used to deliver the New York Times before going to work in the early morning. We also suscribed to Time magazine faithfully. In the last 15 years I wouldn't give you the time of day for a copy of either one. Hard to believe how they have morffed. I have subscribed to Car & Driver since early 50's when it was a paper and had different name (Sports Cars Illustrated). Still have most of them in the basement. Also Auto Week since It's beginning. I have now decided NOT to renu Auto Week and am leaning same way with C&D. The moder journalists don't know S**T about cars and only try to use 'cutesey retoric' to describe what they are writing about, and I don't 'cotten' to it! So I say "GOODBY BABY JANE". grimmye

Reason: spell
What's Time magazine doing rating cars anyway!
No one reads that mag for auto info anyway!
Idiots!
It was GM's lack of marketing and the dealers fault for overcharging that caused the lack of sales!
I get people asking about my SSR every where I go!! They've never seen it before!!!

If truth be told, GM had a great idea and didn't know how to market it. The SSR should have started where it was when GM stop making it. Just when GM was making changes that would make it a big seller, it was killed. Like they say, too little, too late. I have one, i love it, think i'll keep it a while.
