Thumbs up 2nd Annual AZ Tech Session Saturday, March 13, 2010

Mark your calendar!

Thumper, Mike in AZ and I will host the 2nd Annual AZ Tech Session in Glendale, AZ on Saturday, March 13, 2010. Last March we worked on 20 + SSR's.....it's all a blur

This year we'll be performing whatever needs that can reasonably be done from 6:30 AM until (roughly) 4:00 PM.....

My favorite Father-In-Law Jim will again be our chef - we'll provide the burgers and dogs, sodas and water - the rest is Pot Luck, so please let us know what you'd like to bring

Potential Work Items -

Ignition Switch Replacement
Spare Tire Carrier Installation
Hood / Tonneau Deck Strut Replacement
Sway Bar Replacement
Lowering Spring Installation
Differential / Tranny Pan Removal and Replacement
Brake Pad Replacement

Radiator Support Replacement
Tranny Cooler Installation
Muth Mirror Installation

Ad Nauseam.....

As an added bonus, Joe Delano, the Guru of SSR tunes, will be on hand to perform HP tunes for your R's, provided we can give him a minimum of 10 R's to tune. The cost per tune will be $ 135.00 per tune - a SMOKING DEAL - AZ TPI charges a MINIMUM of $ 250 per tune, and Joe is driving over from his home in SoCal. Let's make it worth his effort!

If anybody is contemplating having gears installed, Allen at The Gear Shop will install your gears (supplied by you) for $ 450.00, including GM gear lube and a new pinion seal. PM me for more info - Joe Delano can calibrate your R while he's here if you get the gear install done before the Tech Session.

Please post your needs on this thread, as well as any parts needed for your desired work items. We'll make sure the parts are on hand if you wish us to provide them, at our cost.

The location is the same as last year -

Gunsight Construction
5959 N. 55th Avenue
Glendale, AZ. 85301

We will need lots of help, so if you are willing and able to help out, please let us know.

Sorry, Doug, not much help other than supervise but I'll volunteer anyway.

Put me down for a "tune" . . . does Joe want payment in advance?

Nope, just a firm commitment so he doesn't make a dry run from San Diego.

Gotcha down, thanks Curt!

Are New Mexican's welcome? I believe I now qualify as a FatMat installation expert (ask Mike for his opinion).

All are welcome! Let us know if you need anything done, if you're planning to help, or both.

On a side note, I know that Mikey would rather do a lot of things than install FatMat

Count Me In!

I can help install Fat-Mat for doors for others and may even try to outfit my SSR for the entire cab. Only Mod left for me is (maybe) a front spoiler....

Thanks Doug!
