Thorobred Thunder IX

The Corvette Club of Arizona would like to invite you to their Thorobred
Thunder IX, All Chevy Show at Thorobred Chevrolet, 2121 N. Arizona Ave. in
Chandler, Arizona and is open to all Chevy powered vehicles. The entry fee
for this event is $25.00 before October 18th which includes a T-shirt and
$30.00 after with no T-shirt. They are planning to have their Registraton
from 8:00 a.m. till 9:30 a.m., judging will be from 9:30 a.m. till11:00
a.m. and the Awards Presentation will be at 1:00 p.m.. This Car Show will be
Participant's Choice Judging with 12 classes plus Special Recognition
(Participant's Choice), Best of Show (All Chevy Classes), Best of Show (All
Corvette Classes), Best Paint (All Classes), Best Engine (All Classes) and
Best Interior (All Classes). They will have a major Prize Raffle and the
proceeds from the Raffle will go to benefit "Packages From Home".

Well that's real nice - they included a class for SSR's! For a good cause as well, and the weather should be nice. I think we'll probably turn out for this one.

Thanks for posting the flyer for the car show for CCA. I have won first place the last four years in the SSR class, only because no other SSR showed up it's easy to win a one car class! May be this year I will have some competition.

I didn't take a lot of pics -- but I did manage to get all of the SSRs.
Congratulations to Helvis for winning Best SSR and Best Paint for the whole show. Of course we all know that Helvis is a magnificent vehicle.

Hank (WildDesertWolf) and his lovely wife, Sandy were with us also. Sandy entered her vette with the dragon painting.

I really love the flame job on the purple "ZHotRod".
Of course, McVette's has always been one of my favorites -- ever since we spotted it in a restaurant parking lot in Kingman!
Larry & Nancy's Commet gets better every day. Wow -- they have really been busy adding to their Commet. Just ask Larry to rev that new supercharger and Mike in AZ's new stainless steel exhaust built especially for this vehicle will "blow you away" and leave you a little deafer.
We enjoyed visiting with Seattle Jerry & Terry. I think I heard a rumor that they are now considering a new paint job????? Doesn't their engine compartment have really clean lines???
