Exclusive Screening of True Grit

See Post #35 for address and opening times, this is going to be good!!

So You Want to See a Great Movie!!

Nancy and I would like to invite everyone to a Private Screening of the remake of TRUE GRIT at our UltraStar Cinemas in Surprise AZ.

I was able to convince our General Manager to reserve a theater for a private screening on Sunday January 2nd at 10:00AM; if we get enough interest.

This is the biggest movie in the Holiday Blockbuster season and a must see!

Here is why you should sign up - I will need at lease 60 guests to reserve the theater.

* It is a Fantastic Movie
* We have the theater to ourselves - We can have fun
* Chance to get together during the Holiday Season
* Digital Sound and Picture - Best in Arizona
* Will only cost $5.50 per person - we will wave the Reservation Fees

This is open to friends and families, the more the better!

The theater is located in Surprise at the corner of N Litchfield Rd & Waddell.

If you are interested respond to this Post and Nancy and I will figure out the details!

Signed up list

1) Larry and Nancy + 32
2) Doug, Debbie, Jacob
3) Sally and Smitty
4) Joe and Sue plus + 3, maybe 5
5) Delma Lou and Bill
6) Kenny and Shirley
7) Jim and Glenda + ??

Thanks for the heads up , I'll take the Missus. Odd that Jeff Bridges has two movies coming out at almost the same time, True Grit and Tron 2.

Thanks Delma Lou

Thanks Delma Lou for finding the two trailers. As you can see the remake looks to be great, although no one can replace the Duke, this should be a great Western. It is a shame they make so few good western's these days.

The screening should be great as we expect massive crowds during Christmas week, everyone come see us at UltraStar on January 2nd, the movie will be much better with an exclusive screening.

I am the projectionist at UltraStar and seeing it in pure digital picture and sound is the only way to see it.

For you movie fans we are offering the ultimate movie experience for the opening of TRON, which will be screened in the D-BOX action moving seats, along with 3D. This is what the movie goer has been waiting for - chairs that move to the action and 3D. We are the only theater in Arizona, with this killer combination.

On January 14th we will screen the Green Hornet in 3D and D-BOX, the car chases and action scenes will be maybe the best yet in the D-BOX 'Action Seats'.

Movie Prices

The Green Hornet will open on Friday Jan 14, or possibily Thursday the 13th at Midnight and depending on when you see it; the prices differ. I will define the best case and worst case so you can decide.

Best Case:
1st movie of the day is 5.50 plus a 3 dollar upgrade for 3D and an 8.50 upgrade for the action chairs for a total of 17 bucks - believe me it is worth it. The first show is at 10AM everyday.

Worst Case:
After 6PM it is 9.75 for the movie plus a 3 dollar upgrade for 3D and again 8.50 for D-BOX for a total of 21.25. That's a lot, but still worth it!

If you go mid afternoon it is not as much as night. I would call the Box Office if you want to reserve seats for TRON, or Green Hornet as the tickets are going fast for D-Box, the number is 623-584-3880. Advanced tickets are on sale for TRON now, but not for Green Hornet until around January 1st. Do not make the trip expecting to walk up and get D-BOX seats as we only have 22 seats and they do sell out frequently. I would suggest seeing it on Sunday after the opening, or 1st show on Monday, or Tuesday if you can swing it.

Hope this helps - Larry

Welcome Glenda and Jim, bring your friends, looks like we are closing in on half of what we need.

Nancy got back from her annual baking day in Denver last night and she is full of energy, think she is finally getting over the surgery.

It's a Shame

So sorry, I was going to pause the movie where he was and replay it a couple of times, that is the beauty of our digital projectors and me as the projectionist. We will be able to cheer though since it is an exclusive screening.

I know we will have fun!
