Yes.... if you would be so kind. We are not nearly as familiar as everyone else with Phoenix. Can we find something not too far from the airport area as we have a very early flight Saturday morning.
Something reasonably priced that all of us can afford?

Choices........
We like Downtown Tempe. We have a choice of Macayo's (good Mexican, great margaritas) or Rula Bula (good Irish Pub food, fresh Guiness on draft) or Gordon Beirsch Brewery (great beer, good food). There are a number of others, but these are pretty straight forward.
Debbie and I can escort you there....... The Doubletree is easy to get to.
What time will you be arriving in Phoenix? Should we plan an early dinner..... say 5:30 or 6:00??????
Mikey

Ok, Glenda..... here's a suggestion for you and Jim (the travelers).........
Appleby's is about 1.5 miles north of the Doubletree on 44th street. It's on the east side of the street and they have a really diverse menu. There are also some "lighter" fares that will suit your traveling bodies and a great selection of spirits for the rest of us. Most important is that this will be the least impact on your wallets before departure...... Save that $$ for spending on the Islands.
Would you like me to call and set aside some space for us there????? Debbie and I eat there pretty regularly for lunch.
Regards,
Mike

I just talked to Glenda. She approves of Appleby's and would like an early dinner. I think Paul & Doris could be there about 5:30... Deb and I are just down the street and will be there...... Let's shoot for a 5:30 arrival / happy hour and 6:00 dinner......... They should be able to partition off a small section of the restaurant for us.
See ya there.

Mind if we crash your party? It might mean they'd have to isolate us from the decent folk in a room that could just be hosed out at the end of the night, but we're up for a burger (Connie) and a beer (ME!).

Burn out?????
I thought those Smart Cars only went 45 miles per hour.... At least's that the max the one I've followed twice now when stuck in traffic on the freeway. God, she even tried passing the fast lane and pulled smack dab in front of the 18 wheeler going about 65 so she could get away from the line pushing her in the fast lane. I thought the 18 wheeler was going to just run right over her and recycle that metal!
