Phoenix Caravan to Texas 2009 Rally

There is a small cadre of SSRs leaving Phoenix on Saturday morning, June 20th. This is an open invitation for anyone wanting to depart Phoenix on Saturday morning to join.....

Meeting point is Mimi's Cafe on the south side of Ray Road, just west of I-10. We'll be arriving for breakfast at 7:00-7:15, with a planned departure at 8:00.

We should be within a few (plus or minus 20) minutes of the gang departing Tucson headed East.

Lunch is planned for Kranberries in Lordsburg, NM.

If this sounds like Glenda and I collaborated.... you're right.

Here's the link to her thread for the gang staying in Tucson Friday night.
So Cal Caravan to Texas 2009 Rally

So far, it looks like the traveling bunch from Phoenix will be:

Mike in AZ - Mike & Debbie
AZSSR - Joe & Sue
ZsSSR - Zane & Judy
Doug Allen - Doug & Debbie
Road Trip 4 2 - Cal & Patti
DANDYSSR - Dan & Dayl

Joining us for breakfast only.......
Fourhounds - Paul & Doris (breakfast only)
OLBSSRD - Frank & Connie (breakfast only)
C1TRob - Rob (breakfast only)

There's room for more. Please be advised that we do expect to be cruising at "customary" western interstate speeds..... if you get my drift.

We're looking forward to a little SSR R&R....... with a fine bunch of mixed nuts.....

Mike & Debbie

Hi Paul - It'll be good to see ya. Please be sure to bring the better half.

I heard from Rob. He'll be joining us for breakfast as well. Maybe Sharon....

Frank & Connie called me today to say that they won't be able to malke the Texas trip. Some work stuff came up that has them staying home next week. They will be with us for Breakfast, though.

See you there.

Mikey

It won't be the same without Frank & Connie! Figure out a way guys! After all, Weary Eagle wasn't going to be able to come but now he is.

That's really sweet of you, Glenda! Actually, it's Connie whose vacation was cancelled. I suppose I could make the trip, but I probably couldn't come home again! Or maybe I don't want to take the chance that she wouldn't notice I was gone!

Just ain't in the cards for us this time. I know it'll be a real struggle, but I hope you'll try to be rowdy enough so that no-one notices we're missing...

You good folks have a really fun and SAFE trip!!

Tomorrow

I make a effort to get up and join you for breakfast to see everyone off.

It will be an early start from my side of town.

On the road

We got them safely on the road. There was one check engine light that was slowing wagon train start.

Have fun!

They are now in Lordsburg, NM with a group of SSRs 20 minutes ahead of them and another group about 30 minutes ahead of that group.

Must be some sight heading down I-10

They said a with missouri plates rode with them awhile and then peeled off...I'm am heading to the pin map to see if I can decipher who it might have been...
