Tire Air Leakage???

I have an '05 with Chrome Wheels - My two front tires are leaking air, I recently had the Chevy Dealer put Nitrofill in the tires. The back ones are OK, only the fronts are leaking, about 3 lbs per week. I took it back & they water tested them & put in a new valve core, they had the tires off the wheels & couldn't find anything. We filled them again to 32 lbs, but they are still leaking. I take it back in again on Tuesday to see if they can find the problem. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Sounds like the leak is occurring when the weight of the vehicle is on them. I had a leak in one tire ONLY when the nail that was found in the tire was in contact with the ground. Any other position when stopped the tire wouldn't leak. Go figure.

P/P

Peace

Valve stems themselves is the only other thing they didn't check/replace?
Odd that it's both fronts only.

I just got a letter from Discount Tire saying that some of there valve stems may be defective and to come in and get them replaced.

I haven't gone there this weekend but will next week. It was a supplier to Discount Tire... I am to lazy to go downstairs and get the name of the Stems right now.

Did they check the rims?
Maybe a defect/pitting?

Here is the link to the Discount Tire advisory on defective Valve Stems: Valve Stem Advisory - Discount Tire Co.

Here is another article about Dill Valve Stems: Distributor recalls 6 million Chinese-made tire valve stems

With 6 Million out there, Discount Tire is probably not the only seller of these valve stems.
