Coming to Edmonton Sept 28th.
I've got a free evening in Edmonton on Friday Sept 28th. Sent a PM to Nathan and Frank - maybe supper somewhere? - preferably with a good size parking lot.
Earls around 132nd and 50th as a possibility????
Would be nice to meet more Edmonton Fanatics and possibly find new recruits for Penticton??
Maybe Frank can bring the case of wine he won at the poker run. Or not.
I'm going through Brooks on the way up - visiting Wester's on Thursday to have my 06 re-tuned, assuming the 4:10 gears go in next week.

Sounds about perfect for time and location - see you there. Just keep the weather good so I don't find any sand and salt trucks along the way.
I'm going through Nelson, heading north from there and across Kootenay Lake by ferry, then back south to Creston. I've never made that trip before, and it keeps me out of the Salmo-Creston pass - they've already sanded and salted that area. One of my motorcycle buddies from Nelson says it's their favorite set of twisties.

Sounds good to us too. Are we planning on cruising around anywhere BEFORE so folks can see our convoy /
Doing it after is already dark. Might help to move the supper to say ~8:30pm and maybe we can meet at 6:30-7pm somewhere central (Hawalek park??) and then down Whyte and Jasper then on to Franco's? We could also go up 109ST for Ray to experience the Rat Hole that's not there anymore
Nathan, did you ask Franco's if they'd reserve us 5-6 parking stalls together?
Frank
ps:
are any of you guys interested in buying the grill inserts. I called the vendor and I'm waiting to see if they'd cut a deal on sets and shipping. I'm thinking of getting a set? Maybe if there's interest I can order multiples and MAYBE have them here by Friday (likely would have to order by tomorrow)

Cruising before supper in daylight sounds great to me. Iris' meeting starts at 4, so I'm free anytime after that, and any driving around is good.
Haven't been to Hawrelak (ok - so there's about 10 ways to spell the former mayor's name) park for years. - Used to go to Emily Murphy during University days, though - something about watching submarine races through steamed up windows.
If we meet at Hawrelak park, I get to drive Groat Road again coming from St Albert- it's been a loooooong time for that too.
Anything you decide works for me. Early or late supper, cruising, etc is all good - just keep the snow and sand away.

As a suggestion let's go with a late supper, maybe 8:30-9 and met somewhere at 7:30-8pm and cruise for awhile first?

A section of The Coquihalla connector was down to 2 tracks mid-week. Cleared back up within a couple days,
They also sanded and salted the Salmo Creston on Wednesday - apparently it's cleared back up pretty well also. Looks like some sunny days with no rain for driving your way.
Nathan, seeing as you're way down in the south east corner, maybe there's someplace nearby to meet up so you don't have to rush out, then head out on a cruise north from there before hitting the restaurant.
Whyte Ave and Jasper sound like a good area to scoot through on the way north.

How about the same parking lot location at the Tim Horton's first time we met. How's 7:30 sound. SO are you contacting the other guy's. You likely know all their contact info?............
