we will all be coming out of hibernation and moving about more freely amongst our own kind so be vigilant shall we and perhaps we can find the last piece to the missing puzzle, that 2005 Z49 window sticker. It is out there somewhere .....
thanks

November 4 2011 UPDATE
thanks goes out to Rebel down in Southern Ontario for the addition of his 2003 sticker to the data base.
My hope is over the course of the winter which is sure to come that more Fanatics will return to the web site and we can root out that illusive 2005 Z49 sticker from someones drawer somewhere in this great and vast land.
Cripes that sounds like a quote from something Sir John A MacDonald said a 100+ years ago. Anyway it still applies.
October 15th 2011 UPDATE
with thanks to JR I now have a 2006 template but I still need a 2005 to round out the set and get started at creating the blanks for all those Z49 code R owner's who would like a repo window sticker. Stay vigilant at meets and shines folks and lets see if we can't finish this project up some time soon.

PROGRESS REPORT
STILL NEED 2005 TEMPLATE
Thanks to Turnheadz/Sandy McKensie of Lanely BC (04') and KrazyEd/Erik Strand (03') out of Courtice ON for getting full colour copies to me.
I am still in need of 2005 Canadian template. Thank you and lets keep looking and eventually I know I will be able to compile the needed data to reproduce Z49 spec stickers. I can see this is going to take some time but I will stick with it.
Richard
We are off to the Penticton Beach Cruise in a week where I will beat the bushes for any hint of Z49 build sheets. I expect many of you will be attending SSR attended events around the county over the course of the summer so if you can keep a eye and and an ear open to any sign of those Canadian spec cars and the possibility of their 'window sticker' being in existence.
I will pay the costs involved in getting Staples etc to print a full colour copy and then the 'tube' and the mailing of it out to me in Saskatchewan. I took a GM window sticker into Staples in May and they said no problem doing a full size colour copy of those.
Thanks
richard
As many of you may well already know Triple A Enterprises out of the US does not offer reproduction 'window stickers' for Canadian vehicles.
I have been in contact with Bill at Triple A several times over the course of this past winter. They do not have or to care to take the time to get Canadian information. Once again, just too small a market to bother with.
I have also contacted GM Customer Service and Vintage Division here in Canada and they can't or won't help, not sure what the truth was but that is a dead end.
Bill from Triple A said I must supply all pertinent information and then he will take a look at what could be done.
Here is what I think we need to do.
Lucky owners of Z49 Canadian spec SSR's who have their window stickers, original or perhaps just copies need to pool their info.
Hopefully from that we will end up with a full compilation of data that would allow us to put together a 'sticker' using our RPO codes listed on the glove box lid.
I see no reason why someone with a Z49 Canadian sticker could not have a 'blank' colour template reproduced.
Once we have enough information from a variety of Canadian window stickers that will cover any and all option mixes we should be able to reproduce a sticker for any Canadian spec SSR.
I believe that 03/04 and 05/06 templates will differ on the left hand side only by the change from the 5.3 to the 6.0 litre motor. This will also change the Transport Canada info in the lower section of the sticker.
Cash tells me that Canadian R's did not go to the 1, 2, and 3SS designations in 06' as the US spec vehicles did and that GM Canada continued to use the 1SB etc to designation option levels in that model year.
The rest of the changes would be on the 'option' side and the lower edge of the sticker detailing the dealer info etc.
Turnzheads has sent me a copy of her window sticker from 04' so that would be a start but it was a little rough around the edges, literally, but it's a start. She would like a new repo herself if we can round up and create a new colour 04 blank.
Optimally we would need primo stickers from the various years of production from which to have the blanks recreated. I think print shops anywhere could create the blank and load it onto a a disk or media of some sort that could be shared and printed elsewhere if need be.
Lets get together on this and see what we can do. Contact me if you think you can help.
Thanks
Richard

Reason: spring 2012 update
My SSR: "Kate" a Haughty Redhead, '06 Redline FPR 6 spd. #23333 Build Date 2/16/06
Just to clarify what I passed on to twooldfarmers:
MY2005 - Z49 - US Builds. Both used the 1SA & 1SB build levels.
MY2006
1SA 1SB 1SC were the Z49 Canadian designations for these equivalent US designations:
1SS 2SS 3SS
It seems there are a number of Canadians that frequent the Niagara annual event that are not active on the forum. An idea would be to contact the organizers of that event for contact information. CanCam?
I will PM a list of those from my Canadian owner list that I believe may possibly have purchased new or that I consider might have a window sheet for a Z49.

so you're thinking of also including the option codes from the glove box?
when I mentioned the glove box RPO sticker I was thinking that it would only serve as a reference to verify whether ones Canadian spec SSR was shipped in 1, 2 or 3SC form.
From there we could go on and put together a reproduction window sticker (s) if we can assemble all the required info and make blank stickers (option and dealer info area only) from those that happen to have ownership of that coveted little piece of paper.

Reason: spelling error and 3SB to 3SC
I spoke to Cam several times last winter and I just PM'd him and asked if he could beat the bushes at the Niagara Event and see if he could scare up some owners with Z49 window stickers in their possession.

I am still in need of a 2005 Z49 Canadian spec window sticker to use as a template so that I may move forward with the project.
The end game is to have blank templates for each model year that will allow the reproduction of window stickers for any Canadian SSR owners
help me out here if you can

Some stuff added
I spoke to the owner in Wesbank and what he has is a repo that the dealer made for him as the original was gone by the time he purchased the R. It had been in an auto show of some sort prior to the sale. Someone likely pinched it from the glove box.
At any rate Wayne was uncertain about providing a copy of the repopped sticker but suggested that I call once back in the country. So I shall.
If anyone is interested in the R his numer is 250 768 0409 or 826 0409.

Wayne has been coming to the Beach Cruise in Penticton - has some great cars that he shows, but I've only seen the SSR occasionally.
Let me know if I can help.
