July/August Photo Contest With A Twist
Scary Lady says,
"IT'S TIME TO VOTE!!!!!"
BUT.... This poll will be a little different, because you can vote for more than one picture!! So pick the 12 pictures that you would like to see in a Trucks are for Girls calendar!!
Poll closes two weeks (14 days) from today! Good luck everyone!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some of the ladies have asked if they could contribute some pictures of themselves to "enhance the quality of our little forum". It was also suggested that we have a separate calendar for 2007 using our own ladies with their SSR's as a background.
Well, let's try to kill two birds with one stone!
The July/August Photo Contest will be a "Trucks Are for Girls" theme.
BUT. before you start posting your pictures, please beware! This will not be a calendar to replace the Rigid Tool calendars that you see in the backrooms of most service stations.
Let's make them nice, tasteful pictures that we could proudly display in our homes. (No pin-up shots please! But if you must, send them directly to my personal e-mail!!!!! )
A few basic rules:
1) Must be a female (human) member [or a female (human) significant other of a member] to post your picture
2) Must be a high resolution master for the calendar, but a lower resolution for the contest. (PM me for help on this one!)
3) Must be an attachment for the contest (No url's please)
4) The top twelve vote getter's will be featured on a calendar for 2007 (barring any unforeseen problems)
5) Votes will be made by members of this forum
6) We will leave this poll open longer than most (into August) to allow everyone a chance to capture that "right shot" for the contest.
7) The moderators have the option to delete any picture that we feel goes beyond the limit of good taste. (See me later for those!)
Since this is the first time that we have tried this, PLEASE if you have any comments or concerns, let Marc NY or me know ASAP.
Let the contest begin!

Chuck thanks for the image.....makes my neck hairs stand up as well
Sometimes you see a picture that looks simple but theres a lot more behind the scenes, LOL. When I got the idea for our shot (#12) I realized that a sorta flat surface was needed, but our mountain top homes blacktop apron has got a bit of an angle, so I actually had to positon the truck sideways on the apron and back it up with my two oil change ramps under the Lt side front and rear wheels to get the bed darn near close to level, then once I put the water in , the rear end was awkwardly compressed looking , so I had to get a picture angle to hide that, then on the first day It got late and Mrs Otters bikini top was just showing too much clevage for the rules and I already had like 20 pictures, so packed it in till the next day, the next morning it seemed so strange to walk out on the deck and see the truck with a pool in the back,Ha!. But later I walked around back and noticed that with the water ,and a heavy vehicle, the oil change ramps(the formed metal type) had actually sunk about an inch into my blacktop , but the show must go on , so with a more decent type suit and twenty more tries we got what we felt was great! P.S. at the end of each day I would climb in with Patti and we would enjoy a coulple of summer time beverages and laugh about how crazy this was!! 2 Otters

Everyone,
I must apologize to IA Indy. He was told earlier that a url would be acceptable for the calendar contest (which it wasn't), so I deleted his post.
He then PM'd me and asked me what happened to his picture. Once I replied to him and told him to get me a picture asap and I would try to add it as # 20.
So far, so good right? WRONG!
I left for vacation to attend the Georgia State HOG Rally (Harley's, that is) and while I was gone, he sent his picture in.
Well I didn't see it until today and I feel like such a louse about it.
So the question of the day is, "What can I do about it?"
All comments are requested......... I'm sure that IA Indy has a few!
